You looked at him in disbelief, "You did... what?"

"Your father read the newspaper with the interview. He asked if anything else was going on between us, I didn't want to lie to him."

Diego— that bastard.

"My father already knows? I thought you said you were gonna talk to the reporters!" You asked, feeling your blood boil.

Before you had a chance to respond, you notice your father walk to the door to see Diego and welcome him inside. This wasn't good.

"Hello, Brando," Your father said gently as he approached the door, "Come inside." He gestured inside as you stepped out the way so Diego could come in.

You looked at Diego as he walked over to your father and greeted him with a warm smile - you couldn't believe how smoothly he was about this. He was such a bastard.

"Hello, Mr. Louis. It's good to see you again."

Your father looked at him surprised for a moment, before he answered back, "It's Mr. L/N. Come sit. I'll heat up some tea for us."

Diego remained calm as he went to sit down in the living room. You took notice of how the two of them aren't on a first-name basis anymore. Clearly your father's pissed.

You sat down on a different couch from Diego.

Your father came back a few minutes later with some tea for all three, and sat down across from Diego.

Your father then cleared his throat and spoke softly, "I heard some interesting things have been happening between the two of you."

You stared at your father as you tried to figure out how to respond.

Diego stayed calm and composed as he sipped his tea patiently.

Your father cleared his throat, "I've read the papers. Quite the interview, Mr. Brando. In regards of what you informed me about, I just want to know what exactly are your intentions with my daughter."

You could feel your face redden immensely as you looked down at the floor with embarrassment.

There was a brief silence, it seems as though for the first time Diego is stumped on a question.

"My intentions with Y/N are good, believe me. We have a genuine connection." He said softly, leaning forward in his seat to show he meant it.

"She is an outstanding girl, full of great attributes. I believe that we would make a good pair together, she understands me. And I would always protect her with my life." He continued with a confident tone.

Your father sat back in his seat and glanced over at you for a moment. You kept quiet, trying to hide your shocked expression as this was the last thing you expected Diego to say.

Your father spoked up, "What are you saying, Mr. Brando?"

"I want to pursue a relationship with your daughter," Diego replied to your father, still staying calm.

Your father rubbed his chin, thinking on what he heard, "I... see," He said slowly.

Your father sat back in his chair for a moment, processing what Diego just told him.

Then, your father turned his attention to you. "Y/N," he asked softly, "Do you feel the same way?"

You stayed quiet for a moment. You didn't know how to feel. Your connection with Diego was unique, and you felt something whenever you were with him. But, you didn't feel ready to be in a full on relationship right now.

"I don't know," you replied nervously, "Diego and I have a connection, but... I think that connection is meant just for racing."

You didn't look at Diego after saying that, but you felt a cold stare coming from him.
