"that speech was so amazing!" stacey beamed, her voice barely audible from the loud music.
"i'm so glad, i've worked on it since forever," bianca sighed.
stacy leaned in closer to bianca, trying to make herself heard over the thumping music. "well, it definitely paid off. you sounded like a hollywood star up there. i swear, i got goosebumps!"
bianca's smile widened as she soaked in stacy's praise. "thank you, stacy. your support means the world to me."
then andy appeared behind the girl, gesturing for stacy to leave the two alone. "uh, b i'll be right back, i'm gonna go grab a drink."
stacy gave a knowing nod and headed off to join the other partygoers, leaving bianca and andy alone in the midst of the hollywood-themed celebration.
bianca turned her attention to andy. with the music pulsing around them, she leaned in closer. "hey, andy," she greeted with a warm smile.
andy smiled back at bianca, and in the midst of the vibrant bat mitzvah party, he took a moment to collect his thoughts. "well, first of all, i wanted to say that your speech was incredible. you truly have a way with words, and i couldn't be prouder of you."
bianca blushed slightly at his compliment. "thank you. it means a lot to me."
it was a known fact that andy didn't really know how to express himself with words, normally he answered with one liners, but not for bianca— for her he would write a whole book of what he loved about her.
"and second, i wanna go in the photo booth with you," he stated.
bianca's eyes sparkled with delight at andy's request as she grabbed his hand. "come on, let's go."
they navigated through the lively crowd, eventually reaching the photo booth. it was designed to resemble a vintage hollywood dressing room, complete with a large vanity mirror and a backdrop featuring the iconic hollywood sign.
as they stepped inside, the curtain closed behind them. the photo booth was equipped with props like feather boas, oversized sunglasses, and glittering hats, adding to the whimsy of the experience.
andy picked up a pair of sunglasses and put them on, striking a playful pose. "how do i look?"
"amazing," bianca giggled and grabbed a pair of sunglasses herself.
the camera flashed, capturing their laughter and the joy of the moment as they struck playful poses, held up props, flipped the camera off and for the last one they kissed.
"we have a surprise for you," sabrina guided bianca to the front, right before the stage."what?" bianca furrowed her eyebrows, she noticed a bunch of music equipment so it was obvious that someone would perform.
before bianca could inquire further, the lights dimmed, and the room was cast into darkness, with only the soft glow of twinkling stars above. then, the spotlight on the stage illuminated the figure of a young woman with a microphone in hand.
