the night air was dewy from the rain an hour before.
yujun was sat in the field of sunflowers that he and jinae always were at.
the boy was ripping grass out of the ground. he missed her like crazy. he never understood why he and jinae had to break up.
even though they were young, they were so in love. he missed her scent, her voice, and her touch. with her, he felt alive.
is that so wrong?
but the look in her eyes had love, and a bit of worry.
he had never sensed the worry until that night. the night she ended their relationship.
every time he had a bad day, she would meet him at the field and she would embrace him. but now it was just cold and lonely.
yujun kept thinking that he wasn't good enough to her, that she didn't want him anymore because he wasn't enough.
he hated the feeling of not knowing why she was scared.
he stood up slowly, and walked out of the field.
as he was walking away, he watched the sunflowers sway in the wind. as if they were waving at him.

jinae finished her homework and crashed into her bed.
she stared at the ceiling and thought about yujun. she somehow regretted what she did, but she had to convince herself it was the right thing to do.
but now she was alone. her parents weren't home, and her brother was on a trip.
suddenly, her doorbell rang. she had no idea who it would be at this time.
she walked down the stairs and too the front door. she opened the door her eyes softened as she looked at him.
" yujun. "
yujun was panting so she assumed he had ran here.
" i'm...not ready to break up yet. "
" but yujun- "
" no, let me finish. "
yujun stood up straight to looked her in the eyes. as he looked at her, she looked tired and small.
" we're in this relationship together, you don't get to just leave. that's not fair. "
" i know- "
" and i need you to communicate with me, because if you don't then this isn't going to work. "
jinae looked down at the ground and nodded her head.
" i know, i'm sorry. "
" so what were you scared of. "
the girl looked at him and pulled her sleeves over her hands.
" i didn't want you to break up with me. because you always sacrifice yourself for me, and i didn't want you to not love me anymore. and i- "
yujun dropped her mid sentence and pulled her into a hug. he kissed her top of her head and rubbed her back as she cried.
" my love, i could never stop loving you. "
jinae broke the hug and wiped her tears.
" come on, let's go inside. "
