I sat on my bedroom floor in front of my dresser putting away my clothes when I heard honking outside. I stand up and walked toward my bedroom door and poke my head out. Bella seemed to have the same idea as she had poked her head out also. We gave each other confused looks before we both headed downstairs and out the front door.

Dad was talking to a man in a wheelchair. There was also a boy with long dark hair and another boy with nose length hair. My eyes widen when I recognized the second boy. It was Paul Lahote. My childhood best friend.

"Paul!" I squealed as I rushed and attacked the teen boy in a hug.

He laughed wrapping his arms around me giving me a tight squeeze before lifting me up from the ground and spinning in a circle causing me to giggle.

"Girls, you remember Billy Black and his son Jacob." Dad says after Paul set me down on my feet.

"Yeah." Bella lied. "You're looking good."

"Still dancing." Billy smiled before turning to me.

He opened his arms causing me to smile brightly and rushed over hugging him.

"Your father hasn't shut up about you two since you told him you were moving back home." Billy says.

I pulled away smirking at dad as I stepped beside my younger twin sister.

"Keep exaggerating and I'll roll you in the mud." Dad huffed with an sassy eye roll.

"That's where you get it from." Bella says to me causing me to glare at her.

"Get what from?" Dad questioned as he side stepped from Billy as he tried ramming his ankles.

"Her sassy side." Bella explained.

"Don't forget the sarcasm." I added.

Dad playfully glared at us before him and Billy went into the road play fighting. Jake stepped in front of us while Paul stood beside me.

"Hey, I'm Jacob, we used to make mud pies when we were little." Jake says causing me to grin at the memory.

"I remember." Bella lied.

"No you don't." I laughed. "You block out the memories of me making you eat wormy mud pies."

"The mud pies you fed, Paul and Jake also had worms in them." Bella remarked. "Are they always like this?"

Paul and Jacob turned to dad and Billy while snorting.

"It's getting worse with old age." Jake says causing us four to laugh.

Dad walked up to the orange truck patting the bed of it.

"What do you think girls?" Dad asked causing us to look at him confused.

"About what?" I questioned.

"It's your homecoming gift Bella," Dad says. "Coco, your's is under that tarp."

I turned and walked to the tarp as Bella freaked out about her new truck. I tore the tarp off the car and gasped in shock. It was dad's old 1965 Mustang that he gave up driving after we were born.

"Dad, is this your car?" I questioned.

"She's yours now." Dad laughed. "I've known you wanted it since you were eight. I got it all fixed up for you."

I rushed over and gave dad a big hug as he laughed

I rushed over and gave dad a big hug as he laughed. He pressed a warm kiss to my head before I pulled away getitng into the car. Paul got into the passenger seat. I smiled as I ran my fingers along the steering wheel.

"I've been dreaming of this moment since we would pretend we were driving." I say to him. "I can't believe he actually gave it to me."

"I can show you how to drive a stick." Paul suggested.

"I know how." I shook my head. "Dad taught me some before we stopped visiting and Phil taught me before I had taken my drivers test. Do you need a ride to school? I'm sure Bella would be happy to take Jake, I could take you."

"We go to school on the Rez." Paul smiled gently.

"Damn." I mumbled. "It would be nice knowing someone other than my twin."

"I'm sorry." Paul chuckled.

"Why isn't your dad here?" I asked. "I thought he would've liked to see me again."

Paul was silent a moment before he just simply climbed out of the car. I frowned as I got out opening my mouth to speak only for him to get into Billy's truck. Something happened between them, I'm sure.

--

I laid in bed wide awake. I was nervous about school tomorrow. The rain pelted on the roof was calming. I sat up and climb out of bed having a feeling that Bella needed comfort. I walked out of my room quietly closing the door and make my way into Bella's room. I could faintly hear her crying. I shut her door before slipping into her bed underneath the covers. She turned to me as soon as I laid down. I gently brushed my fingers through her hair.

"I miss mom." she whispered.

"I know, Bells." I whispered. "I know."

She snuggled closer to me almost instantly falling asleep. I stayed awake a little longer running my fingers through her hair making sure she was okay before I had let myself fall asleep.
