Nicoletta or Nico as she preferred to be called is the older twin sister of Bella. The girls move to Forks, Washington to live with their father, Charlie so their mother, Renee could travel with her younger husband, Phil. What happens when Nico and...
I sat beside Jessica on one of the picnic tables outside the school. It was a rare sunny day in Forks. I wore a more modern outfit than what I usually wear. I wore a white shirt with thin black stripes tucked into a high waisted skater skirt, a pair of black chucks, my grandmother's rose quarts ring and a black and white polkadot headband.

Bella sat on the bench by our feet with a book spread out on her lap. She was looking around the parking lot while I was looking through my sketchbook trying to think of something to draw.
"They're not here." Jessica says causing me to look over at her. "The Cullen's, they don't come when it's nice and sunny out."
"So they just ditch?" I asked her.
"No." Jessica says shaking her head. "Whenever it's nice out Dr. Cullen pull them out and take them on hikes or go camping. I tried it on my parents not even a chance."
I pull my phone out as it buzzed. It was a text from Rosalie.
From: Rosalie
Can you come over after school? Edward wants to have a talk.
I sighed as I put my phone away not bothering to answer the text. Ever since what happened after our date, I've been ignoring Edward. Bella keeps pestering me as to why I was ignoring him but I always refused to answer. Angela came rushing over practically laying across Bella in a hug.
"I did it!" she says excitedly. "I took control and asked Eric to prom!"
"I told you it would work." Bella smiled at the girl.
Angela and Jessica start talking about prom dresses and about going shopping in Port Angeles.
"Port Angeles?" Bella piped up. "Do you girls mind if I come?"
"Well duh," Jessica says. "We need your opinion."
"Will you come too, Nico?" Angela asked me.
"I've got plans after school." I say as the bell rang.
We all get up heading into the school. I pulled my phone out sending rose a quick okay.

I watched as Bella climbed into Jessica's car from the kitchen window. I was anxious about talk to Edward. I know he wasn't human and that scared me a bit, but I felt this weird connection to him, knowing he wouldn't hurt me. I was brought from my thoughts hearing a honk. I glanced out the window seeing a red mercedes.
Sighing I grabbed dad's flannel jacket before walking out the door making sure it was locked. I made my way to the car and open the passenger door to see Rosalie behind the wheel. She gave me a soft smile as I climbed into the car. Once I was buckled up safely Rosalie sped off. I gripped the door handle due to the speed she was going.
--
She pulled into a long driveway and my eyes widen at the beautiful house that seemed to made out of glass. Rosalie pulled into a garage. She shut off the car turning to me and squeezed my hand gently.
"Please, don't hate us after he talks to you." She says gently before we climb out the car.
I was confused by her words but follow her through the side door of the garge into a very spacious living room. A woman with a heart shaped face smiled at me from the sofa. Edward stood up from the game of chess he was playing with Theodore. He held out his hand to me. I hesitantely took it letting him lead me upstairs.
We entered a room with a black leather sofa and music filled the wall of shelves. Edward motioned for me to take a seat on the sofa. I hesitantly sat down putting my hands under my thighs as he shut the door quietly. Edward walked over taking a seat on the coffee table in front of the sofa.
"If you don't want to talk to me after I tell you this, I understand." He says.
"You're not human are you?" I asked quietly.
"No." Edward shook his head. "My family and I are vampires."
"You mean you drink blood." I asked feeling faint.
"Yes, but my family's different from most vampires." He says gently. "We drink blood from animals, we call ourselves vegeterians. That's why our eyes are gold, if someone has red eyes that means they're human blood drinking vampires."
"Why me?" I asked him. "Why tell me?"
Edward gave me a half smile as he leaned forward with his elbows on his knees.
"Vampires have this thing called, Mates." He says. "And you're mine. We're meant to be together."
I gave him a small smile. I'm meant to be with someone this handsome? How is that possible? Edward chuckled leaning a little closer to me.
"The world works in mysterious ways, baby." He says gently grabbing my hand out from under my thighs. "I know you've wanted to feel how soft my hair is."
I gaped at him as he placed my hand in his hair. I giggle slightly as I ran my fingers through his hair. It was really soft. Feeling brave I gripped it pulling him closer to me pressing my lips against his. Edward made a low growling sound before I was suddenly pulled into his lap. We pulled away when I needed to breathe. I blushed profusely as Edward ran his thin fingers along my cheekbone.
I smiled grabbing his hand pressing it closer to my cheek while closing my eyes. Then it dawned on me. I snapped my eyes open and give him a confused look.
"How did you know I wanted to feel how soft your hair is?" I questioned.
"I read your thoughts." He shrugged.
"What?" I gasped as I leand back slightly.
Edward laughed as he braced my lower back with his hand.
"Some vampires have gifts." He says. "I can read thoughts, Theo can do the opposite and talk to people through thier minds, Alice can see the future and Jasper can manipulate peoples emotions."
The door to the room barged open causing us to look at a disgruntled Theodore stood there. He seemed to be having a conversation with Edward who looked wide eyed and nodded.
"Carlisle has to go to the station, your father's best friend was killed." Edward told me. "And Bella's in trouble."
