Chapter Nine

I woke up with a start. Bella was furiously shaking my shoulder. I groaned rolling over to get away from her. I let out a squeak as a pillow smacked me in the head. I sat up glaring at my twin who stood wide eyed. I glance at my clock to see it was two in the morning. 

"Bella, what's wrong?" I asked. "Are you also freaked out that Waylon was killed?"

"Kinda but that's not why I'm up." She stated as she crawled into my bed with a book. "I found out what the Cullen's are."

"What do you mean?" I groaned as she flicked on my lamp.

She flipped open the book to a page she bookmarked and shoved it into my hands. Sighing I started to read aloud;

"The cold ones otherwise known as vampires are inhumanly fast, have inhuman strength and are as cold as ice." I glanced over at Bella with fake confusion. "What is this Bella?" 

"The Cullen's are vampires." She hissed. "I mean their skin as cold as ice, Theodore got to me faster than any normal human and he also pushed the van without getting any damage. You know this already don't you."

I stayed silent looking away from her. Bella groaned as she flopped backward on my bed. I turned to see her staring up at the ceiling. Sighing I shut her book slipping it in my nightstand drawer so dad doesn't find it and shut off my lamp before I lay down beside her.

"How long have you known?" She asked into the darkness. 

"Technically yesterday." I sighed. "The plans I had after school was going to the Cullen's since Eddie wanted to talk. He ended up telling me."

"Eddie?" Bella says with a smile in her voice. "You really like him don't you?"

"I..." I took a deep breath. "I think I'm starting to fall in love with him."

"I'm happy for you, Nicoletta." Bella says. "I'm going to confront Theodore at school."

I climb out of my car after parking beside Bella. I walked over to Edward who smiled down at me before leaning in pressing a kiss to my forehead. His arm wrapped across my shoulders watching as Bella walked passed side eyeing Theo. Theodore followed him as Rosalie glared at him. I turned to look up at Edward who was arleady looking down at me.

"Want to skip?" I asked.

"Anything you want, beautiful." He replied with a smile.

I tossed my car keys to Rosalie who caught them with an excited smirk. She loved my car with every fiber in her being. I laughed as her and Emmett rushed human speed to my car. Edward playfully rolled his eyes at his siblings he helped me into the passenger seat of his car. Once Edward got in and started the car he laid his cold hand on my thigh. I smiled placing my hand on his squeezing his fingers gently.

I laid with my head on Edward's chest as we laid in the middle of the living room. Esme smiled as she walked by toward the kitchen. I turn to look up at Edward who smiled at me.

"Can I know your story, why you were turned?" I asked gently.

"I was born in ninteen oh one." Edward sighed. "I was born in Chicago, Illinois to Edward Masen Sr. and Elizabeth Masen. By nineteen eight teen the Spanish influenza sweapt the nation. My father was the first one to get it in our family, he died shortly after the next was my mother, Theo and I. Carlisle was our doctor. My mother's last dying wish was to save her sons. That's what Carlilse did. He turned the both of us."

"You didn't get to say goodbye to your mother?" I asked quietly.

"No." He whispered. "It still haunts me to this day. She was the one that taught me how to play the piano and taught Theo how to play the violin." 

I sat up and looked down at Edward with a big smile on my face. "You know how to play the piano?" 

He chuckled sitting up also gently kissing my nose before standing up holding his hand out. I took it while getting up also. Edward gently pulled me with him to a room off to the side. I stared in awe at the beautiful piano. I looked at him before I walked over taking a seat at the bench. I closed my eyes before I let my fingers dance across the keys. Playing my favorite song Für Elise. 

3rd Person

Esme looked up from the lunch she was preparing for Nicoletta as she heard the familiar sound of the piano being played. She smiled fondly, thinking Edward was playing the piano for Nico. Esme set down her knife before going to listen to the song more closely. She looked at Edward wide eyed. He wasn't playing the piano, Nicoletta was and Edward stared at her in awe. Edward flicked to the bench beside his mate as the song ended. He started to play a few notes that caused Nico to smile brightly at the unfamiliar tune.

Nico

I smiled as I watched Edward play. My head rested on his arm watching his fingers dance across the keys. He did it so flawlessly. I was brought from my thoughts when there was a flash. I turned my head to see Alice smiling holding up a camera. I giggled at her before turning my attention back to Edward's playing.

I was in Bella's room as we talked to mom on the phone. 

"Mom," I sighed. "I miss you." 

"Awe baby I miss you too." she says. "The both of you. Now tell me about your school are there any cute guys?"

"Well...." Bella giggled causing me to giggle too.

"Tell me about them!" Mom gasped. "Are they jock? indie? Are you girls being safe."

Bella let out a gasp causing me to look up. I gave Theo a slight wave before giggling when Edward jumped through the window almost knocking Theo over.

"Mom." Bella says slightly breathless. "We gotta go."

Mom was complaining about talking guys as she hung up. 

"Meet me in my room, Mr. Masen-Cullen." I smiled at Edward before walking out of the room towards mine.

I walked in to my bedroom to see Edward already laying across my bed. I smiled climbing into the bed beside him and promptly onto him. I smiled down at him with my small hands pressed to his chest. I giggle slightly as Edward sat up wrapping his arms around me pressing a sweet kiss to my lips. I hummed into the kiss moving my hands to his hair. We pulled away as there was a thud on the wall connecting to Bella's room.

"Theo." Edward chuckled. 

I nodded yawning slightly. Edward layed down on his back pulling me with him. I sighed happily burying my face in his cold neck. I started to doze of with the feeling of his cold fingers run across my spine.
