Calum's POV
It's been a week of competing with Anastasia to basically who can handle being alone better. I thought it'd be easy, walk around shirtless, wrap my arms around her waist from behind as she cooked, or even simply laying my head in her lap when we watched our weekly shows like Grey's Anatomy, but she wasn't taking the bate. Not only this, but I guess she hasn't even informed anyone she's in a relationship...
"Did you see the new Elementary teacher walk in today?" I heard Matt, the High School gym teacher, ask as I sat with him and Daniel, the Algebra teacher, at lunch.
"Red is her color for sure." Daniel commented and I just continued eating the sandwich the teacher in subject had made me this morning. "What Hood, got a girl now and can't discuss the females in the building?"
"Oh yeah, the new teacher, total babe." I shrugged and pulled out a blue post it note at the bottom of my bag.
Even if we're fighting know I love you ;)
"Oh you're fighting with the lady?" Matt asked peaking and seeing the note that had me grinning.
"I forgot how much rent was and she was down a hundred dollars because of it. We have a challenge that one of us is going to basically break of loneliness before the two weeks is up." I explained and noticed Anastasia walk in. She had a plan bell when we had lunch and usually ate in her room.
"Oh, boys do you mind if I sit with you?" She smiled. They were right red is her color. I didn't realize I was biting my lip till Daniel nudged me. She sat down and spread out her lunch which was a duplicate of mine.
"Wow, you and Hood here are basically twins." Matt laughed making her giggle. "So, maybe we could exchange numbers sometime?"
You're so slick Matt I thought as I rolled my eyes. I noticed though she was eyeing me and I shrugged since neither of the guys were focusing on me since she had walked in the room.
"Why would we do that? We're not really co- workers, I may never see you again after this." I swallowed the laugh that I was about to let out as Matt went a bit red.
"That's why of course. I'd like to see you again. Like maybe a date?"
"Oh, I'm sorry um-"
"Matt."
"Matt, but I couldn't. I have a man at home." I smirked and Matt only sighed and nodded.
"I can't believe Lily, my own sister wouldn't inform me that her fellow co- worker she talks so good about is taken."
"Oh, Lily doesn't know. I haven't told anyone except you guys now." I dropped the apple I was about to take a bite of causing everyone to look at me.
"You haven't told any of your co-workers about your boyfriend? Seems like he's not too important to you then." I glared at her clenching my jaw forgetting about the apple splattered on the floor.
"Actually, Mr. Hood, he's very important to me, but we've been in a bit of a fight this past week, and well I wouldn't want to talk bad about him before they've heard of the great guy he is when not forgetting about rent." She challenged smiling in a way that sent shivers down my spine.
"Oh well Ms. Evans I'm sorry he did such a thing. Don't you think you should forgive him?" I could feel Matt and Daniel looking curious about the situation, but Ana just kept smiling and eating her sandwich.
"Oh I do, I'm now angry that he wanted to challenge my being able to survive without him. I'm a strong woman and I can handle myself. I'd love his support and care, but if he wants to see if I can handle being without him I'm going to show him how strong I am." She placed the half of her sandwich she hadn't eaten back in her bag with the other sides and got up. "Oh and my apologies to you other two for mine and Mr. Hood's little argument."
With that she was out the door and the other two males were just staring at me as if they couldn't believe what just happened. "What?"
"I mean we've never seen you so angry." Daniel commented and I sighed rubbing my temples. "It's as if you two are an old married couple."
"Sometimes I think we are." I mumble leaving without picking up my stuff or the apple that still laid on the floor. I went into the music room knowing it was sound proof and screamed.
She does this to me. She frustrates me, because I feel as if I'm not good enough for her. As if every move I make is going to upset her. As if every word I say is going to come out completely wrong. Then again she also is the one who makes me smile and filled with a happiness I never knew until she came along. I guess that's how I ended up at home, while she was at the mall, trying to make cookies...
"Damn." I groaned pulling out the charcoaled cookies and slamming them on the stove top. I had tried now three times and each time it got worse.
Harper: Can I bring her home yet. My feet are killing me and she got me to buy a yellow dress! YELLOW! I hate yellow...
I typed back asking for just thirty more minutes and then dialed a number that I knew would fix everything.
"Hello, may I have a large cheese pizza and a cookie pizza?" I asked the man taking my order for Pizza hut. Pizza was something that I think she loved more than me. I was told it'd be there in 25 minutes and I thought perfect.
I then kept myself busy until I heard a knock and went to pay taking it in to the counter and pouring two glasses of wine before fixing the fort I built for us to watch movies in after she hopefully forgave me.
"Calum! I'll be in the kitchen to cook soon! I'm sorry it's late, Harper let me pick out outfits for her and I wasn't letting the opportunity go!" She yelled entering the house as I sat on the bar stool waiting for her to walk out.
"It's all good babe!" I shouted back and soon after she came out and smiled at me.
"Well, cheese pizza, cookie pizza, and wine. Is this an apology in the form of food?" She grinned from ear to ear walking over to me and hugging me. "Because I totally accept and have been waiting for this."
"I love you." I pulled her close to me and kissed her missing her lips. "You know we could forget about the food and go straight to bed?"
"You're ruining the mood." She giggled grabbing a plate of food.
"Okay well I do have a fort set up." She was quick to find it set up in the living room I chuckled and thought about the whole challenge thing that got us into this mess. "Oh, and I win."
"Don't give us a reason to argue again." She peaked out just to glare at me and I smiled knowing that I had just the right girl to eat pizza with, well and possibly spend forever with....
