Calum's POV
I sat admiring the ring that I had been keeping in my desk since the beginning of December and as winter break approached I thought about the fact that I'd need to take it to the house and hide it since I was nowhere near confident enough to actually do anything with it.
"Mr. Hood." I placed the box back in my desk looking up to see the principle Ms. Smith standing in my door way. She was in her late twenties with long blonde hair and pale skin her bright blue eyes popping. She was the exact opposite of the girl I had on my mind.
"Hello Ms. Smith how can I help you?" I asked as she sat herself in the chair across from my desk. I was already five minutes late from getting out of school and knew Anastasia would be waiting on me.
"Oh, I was actually coming by to invite you to my New Year's party." I noticed that she was now walking to my desk and leaning over it like Ana did when we were fighting last, but I kept complete eye contact even if I didn't like the icy blue I was looking into.
"Oh well my girlfriend-"
"Oh yeah I forgot about her." She straightened up but smirked. "Bring her."
"I would but-"
"Calum Thomas Hood why are you taking so-"Ana stopped mid-sentence as she noticed the blonde that towered over her. "Hello Ms. Smith."
"Oh, Ms. Evans, do you and Mr. Hood live near each other?"
"Oh yeah very close. That's why we car pool, you know we have to save the environment." Anastasia added in an overly sweet smile at the end.
"Does his girlfriend not mind?" I didn't like the way my boss was butting into my personal life, but I wasn't looking to get fired.
"Actually his girlfriend and I are very close. She's a lovely person." Of course Anastasia found a way to compliment herself. I decided to get up and get my jacket on hoping to get home soon.
"What does she look like? She must be pretty good looking to snag someone like Mr. Hood. Right Ms. Evans?"
"Oh yes. She's exactly what he likes. Short-"She stopped and must have realized she was about to describe herself. "Short and blonde. With these glowing green eyes."
"Oh, so he's in to blondes?"
"Umm ladies I'm right here." I interrupted and tugged on the sleeve of Ana's thin jacket. "We should get going, my lady is waiting."
"Oh yes, but Mr. Hood please consider the party." I sighed thinking I finally was able to go on with my last week of work before break with no more flirting from my boss... Oh was I wrong.
.
"Oh Mr. Hood!" I groaned to myself as Ms. Smith walked over to me. Her black heels clicked loudly as she now just stood a few inches shorter than me. She had on this button up top that I could tell was purposely UN done a bit and her black skirt that was usually a few inches longer, but she must have tugged it up.
"Yes Ms. Smith?" I asked giving a fake smile as I heard kid's laughter fill the hallway and saw Ana in my side view making my smile real.
"Oh I just wanted to talk about some things." She smiled at me and then her hands grabbed at my tie re doing the knot that Anastasia had done this morning and then she tugged me forward by it to where her lips were at my ear. "Don't forget about the party."
I felt her lips brush right under my ear lobe and then se strutted away and I was left confused until Matt was snapping in front of my face. "Nice red lipstick stain Hood. I don't think the lady would like it very much however."
"Um Matt I think I might be getting sexually harassed." I said scratching the back of my neck as I went with him to grab lunch. When I got back in the building after getting my Taco Bell I knew I had to do some lesson plans and walked into my office not expecting the blonde smiling at me as she sat on the edge of my desk.
"I didn't think you'd ever make it back." She was trying to be seductive, but I didn't care about it. Ms. Smith was beautiful, but not my type at all. She wasn't the girl that was just getting a free period a few doors down.
"I need to get work done." I walked past her to sit at my seat, but she just turned to me and smiled batting her eye lashes then I noticed her brush a pen off my desk and look me in the eye as she bit her lip and went to grab it.
"Oh Ms. Smith I didn't realize you were joining us for lunch." Anastasia now stood in my doorway holding onto her lunch box and challenging the taller female who snapped up when hearing another voice.
"Oh, Ms. Evans, I'm sorry I should be going." With Ms. Smith gone I sighed, but noticed Anastasia glaring.
"We're going to that party. She's going to know that you are mine." I hadn't seen Anastasia so jealous before, but it was kind of hot. "Wipe that damn lipstick off your neck idiot."
"Oh sorry." I smiled wiping it off and noticed her walking over. She took my tie and tied it again tightening a bit too much. "Ana, too tight."
"Sorry, I'm a little upset. I'm just going to stuff my face now, since you got taco bell without me." I laughed and pulled out her quesadilla handing it to her earning myself a kiss on the cheek.
"I wouldn't forget about you babe." I told her and it was true. No matter how much Ms. Smith tried throwing herself at me, I would not forget about the girl sitting across from me. Now the ring in my desk was really on my mind. "Hey Ana I need to ask you something."
She smiled at me and I took a deep breath grabbing the ring when the fire alarm went off. I let go of the box letting it settle back in my desk as I got up and walked with Ana to the playground. "What did you need to ask me?"
"Oh are you sure about the party?" I watched her bite her lip and look across the black top her eyes landing on the host of the party in question and narrowing.
"Very sure."
