Third Person POV:
Will's eyes widened in shock, and he called Mike again. When he didn't pick up, he called again. And again, again, again.
He jumped up and ran out of his room, running to his mother.
"Mom!" He exclaims, bursting into the kitchen. Joyce, Jane, and Jonathan were all there, as well as Hopper. When Joyce saw Will's teary eyes, she stopped what she was doing immediately.
"What's wrong sweetie?" Joyce says, worried. She walks over to Will.
Will opened and closed his mouth several times, shaking all over. "I- I was calling Mike and he was crying, and then I heard shouting and screaming and Mike was screaming and he was terrified-" Will rambles.
"Hey, hey," Jonathan walks over, gently grabbing Will's arm. "Calm down, breathe."
Will took a few deep breaths, and started talking again. "Mike- He was screaming at someone who was screaming back at him and he was hiding somewhere and the person screaming at him called him-" Will gulps, eyes blurry with tears. "They called him a fag."
Joyce and Hopper exchange glances, and Hopper pulled out his phone.
"I'll call 911," Hopper says. "We can drive over and check in, but if they can't find evidence of abuse they'll have to leave him."
Will shakily nods, and they get into the car. Hopper begins talking to a 911 dispatcher.
"What's his address?" Hopper questions when the person on the phone asks. Will tells him, and Hopper repeats the information into the phone. There were a few minutes of silence before Hopper said a few more things and hung up. "Okay, the police are on their way."
Will lets out a sigh, fidgeting with his finger the whole way there.
Once they arrived, there were already police cars outside, and the doors were open. Will rushed out of the car and ran into the house, Hopper following in quickly after him.
"Hey, hey, who are you?" An officer questions Will.
Hopper held out a hand to shake. "Jim Hopper, and this is my son Will," He says. "I'm the one who was one the phone that told you all to come."
The officer nods, shaking his hand before leaving. There were police officers in the kitchen talking with Ted and Karen.
"We're not sure," Ted says, sounding sickly polite. "We haven't done anything to ward the police."
The police officer in front of him nodding, writing in her notepad.
"Where's your son right now?" She asks, giving a glance at Will as he enters the room. "I would like to see him."
"He's in his room with his sister," Ted says.
"And who are you?" The police officer turns to look at Will and Hopper.
Will glances at Ted, whose eyes were suddenly filled with fury before masking again with politeness. "I'm Will Byers, I was the one who got the call to alert the police," He says. The woman nodded.
"Let's go up and talk with the boy himself," She says. "Mike Wheeler, yes?"
Ted and Karen nod. Will's eyes trail down to Ted's knuckles, where there was just the tiniest smudge of red. Will's eyes darkened with unchecked rage, but he follows them up to Mike's room.
The police officer pushes the door open, and Will sees Mike and Nancy sitting on the bed talking.
Mike looks up in surprise, and his eyes widen when he makes eye contact with Will. The brunette smiled at his best friend and he could see the tiniest glimmer of hope in the ravenette's eyes.
