Misunderstanding !!

Chapter - 8

The King and Queen were sitting in the garden with Amber and Sera came there. The Queen asked her to come and sit beside her. She introduces her to Amber and says "She is Princess Amber of South Comly-5". Both of them greet each other and Sera introduces herself as planned.

Both the prince enters and Amber quickly stands to greet Ray and hugs him. He was surprised and didn't hug her back, moved her away and told her to not come so close as he is not comfortable with touching girls.

"Huh! What a cunning person. Can't touch girls then what about me, am I not a girl to him?" Sera thought in her mind.

"We should sit and eat something, what would you like to eat?" Castor asked Amber. Everyone sits and starts to eat. King told Sera that he got a report about a new fossil and he would take her there to research it. She nodded her head excitedly.

"So you are the chief Dino-searcher, I heard about you but according to the Queen's description, you must be beautiful but...", said Amber casually.

"Really, aunt told you that. That's a fact but still not everyone has eyes to see beauty", Sera riposte. Amber gets irritated with her and with a stuffed smile asks her if she even knew who she is.

"Don't you even know yourself?", said Sera casually, making her more irritate. Castor signed Sera to be quiet whereas Ray was smiling on their fight. Amber turned to Ray and asked him if he missed her these days. He told her that he was busy.

"He means that he was busy thinking about you", clarified Castor and found Ray giving him an icy stare.

"When will we go there? I just can't wait to see those new species", Sera excitedly asked King and he ordered servants to get the car ready, "just after you finish eating".

"But...king, that new site is dangerous, it was abandoned for years and now going there is not a good idea", Amber expresses her concern.

"Just in case you don't know but most palaeontologists work in these conditions and there is nothing to be afraid of, I know how to tackle it", said Sera casually.

"I think Amber is right. Dad, you should not go there alone", said Ray which makes Amber happy as he takes her side. King told them to not worry as it was not the first time he was going to collect species.

After eating, King gets in the car Meanwhile, Ray pulls Sera aside and tells her to be careful especially with King as he can't get hurt no matter what. She smirks and taps his shoulder to assure him that she will protect his father even if she dies.

"I didn't mean that...", he wanted to clarify but then King called her and they left.

"Don't worry she is not someone to die easily, even after-life avoid troubling people", Castor casually told Ray seeing his worried face.

"W-what...I was just worried about Dad, not her"

"I didn't take her name", Castor teased him and taunted him to concentrate on his fiancé.

On the way, King told the driver to stop the car and asked Sera to come out. She was confused, he sent away the driver and sat at the driver's place and asked her to sit in front.

"What's going on?"

"Actually this driver was assigned by your aunt to not let me go to the site, and I did all this research as my hobby as Aiden, not as a king"

"Oh nice..but I think Aunt is worried about you after all you are the king and I know how dangerous these sites are"

"Don't worry. It's a secret between you and me. Normally I am all alone but today I have someone to share my experience with. So let's go...".
