Chapter - 14

"I guess this is the key factor", he held her face and kissed her. She was shocked, her eyes were wide open and her heart was beating insanely. She gets nervous and the fossil falls from her hand and hits his leg.

"Ouch! What are you doing?", he screamed in pain and held his foot. She quickly got away and covered her lips with her hands, "and what you were doing?"

"I was checking"

"What are you checking with my mouth? Are you mad?"

"See yourself", he holds her hand and now lifts the stone with his powers.

"See I told you this is the key factor", he looked at her and she was embarrassed and left his hand. His team arrived and told him that the situation is under control now and they can leave now. He told them to get ready to leave and asked her to come. She took him aside and slowly asked him if she could stay there. He refused her because he still needs his help to tackle this power mishap. He holds her hand, takes that fossil and gets on the aircraft. She wants to refuse it but somehow she didn't argue this time as she was still in surprise due to that kiss.

In the aircraft, he got his powers back and took her into the room to bandage her wound. She was looking at him while he was cleaning her wound. He leans closer, and she moves back, he holds her neck with his hand and pulls her closer.

"Don't move. Let me treat your wound first"

"Y-you are too close...", she muttered nervously.

"Did you say something?"

"Do it fast"

"By the way, are you not feeling well?"

"I'm fine"

"No, I mean your heart is beating too fast and your face is all red. I can even feel your irregular pulse...", he teased her and smirked. She gets nervous and moves away. He asked her why she was left behind when Dad was already on the aircraft. She told him how he had forgotten his fossil and she got stuck in that cave.

"For this stupid rock? Are you mad?"

"What do you mean by stupid? It's a huge discovery"

She picks the fossil and tries to explain its importance to him. He was listening to her even though he couldn't understand a single word. She was excitedly speaking with a smile and shining eyes. His eyes got stuck on her face, a smile appeared on his face automatically and everything else became blurry. A team member tries to enter the room to say something to Ray but he signs him to come back later, he doesn't want any disturbance.

When they landed, Left and Right told Ray that the king was asking about Sera and wanted to meet her. He looks back and tells them that she is sleeping and he doesn't want to disturb her, so he will take her to Dad later. He lifts her and she wakes up, both get awkward and he puts her down quickly.

"Actually...you fell asleep, so I just take..."

"You can wake me up. Let's go"

They left for the palace, and on the way, she asked him when she could return to Earth as she had been missing for a long time now. He told her that he needed time to sort out the things. When they reached the palace, the king rushed to Sera and apologized to her for sending her to take the fossil in that condition.

"It's okay uncle. I'm back safe and sound"

"Still I feel..."

"It's okay but if you still feel bad then let me have some tasty food. I'm hungry"

"Sure, Left and Right, go and arrange the dinner"

Everyone sits together to have dinner. Sera notices that Amber is continuously looking at her with a weird smile, offers her food and even speaks politely which is very awkward.

"Where is Castor? He didn't come for dinner?", asked the king

"He is not feeling well and is sleeping in his room", replied Queen.

After dinner, Sera took Amber aside and asked her if she did something to offend which made her behave like this. Amber told her that she was just being grateful to her for saving her life earlier.

"That's nothing to be grateful", replied Sera

"It is! Of course, I need to be grateful to someone who saved me and now we are friends and you can ask me anything except for my love"

"Then please be yourself. No need for sudden change in attitude"

Amber nodded and left for her room. Sera was also on her way back to her room when she saw the lights of Castor's room were still on. She thought to surprise him and silently went towards his room and saw him sitting on a chair. She was about to scare him from behind but suddenly heard him crying, he was weeping silently. She moves out of the room and then knocks on the door, "are you alive? I'm back".

He quickly wiped his face and shouted, "I'm dead. No need to come in". She entered the room and teased him why he was looking so happy to see her back.

"It's not a smile of happiness, it's a forced smile after seeing a burden back"

"I heard you are unwell? Didn't even come for dinner. Aren't you hungry?"

"I'm fine. I just don't feel like eating"

"Why are you sounding like a heartbroken person?"

"How did you know?"

"Wait! Don't tell me..."

He got teary-eyed and shook his head down. She comes closer and pats his head gently and says softly, "Don't get upset. Maybe she deserves better".

He laughed at her teasing him and shook her hand gently "This is how you console a heartbroken person?"

"Now you look like the Castor I knew. Tell me what happened?"

He told her everything that happened and she asked him why he loved her. He told her that when they were young, both North Comly-5 and South Comly-5 royal kids went for training on other planets together. One time when they went to Earth, they were in some forest and suddenly Amber got lost there. They were kids at that time and everyone started to search for her. Ray told him to not go anywhere till he came back but Castor wanted to show Ray that he was not a kid, so he went alone to find her without telling anyone and saw her lying under a tree. She was sleeping there quietly and he sat there to protect her from any wild animals. Later at night, Ray found them and took them back to the aircraft. That day, when he was alone in the forest with her, looking at her sleeping peacefully, made him fall in love with her.

"Wait! You fell in love with her while she was sleeping? No doubt because if she was awake then she will just show attitude... ", teased Sera and he nodded.

"You are kind of a weird person but still I'm confused that it was you who protected her why did she love Ray instead of you?"

"I tried my best to shine in her eyes but she just looks at Ray, who doesn't even show any interest and if it is not for our families then Ray wouldn't engaged with her"

"I guess she is confused a little about something"

"What do you mean"

"Just wait for tomorrow", she pats his shoulder and tells him to sleep as tomorrow will be a hard working day. She left him confused.
