Power Mishap !!

Chapter - 3

She looked back and it was the masked leader.

"What are you doing here?"

"Leave my hand, we need to jump in otherwise we will be burned alive"

"No need, let me take you out", he pulled her closer but to his surprise, she also pulled him and they both fell into the pond. They try hard to come out but somehow can't manage to come up, he pulls her closer and tries to give her oxygen through his mouth. She pushed him away but he pulled her closer and when they reached the surface of the pond, they could feel that they could breathe in water as if there was some shield protecting them. He moves away and both of them again feel suffocating, he quickly holds her hand again and once again shields form. She looks at him and he drags her out of the pond.

"Y-you. Are you mad? Why did you pull me into the pond", he asked her while coughing the water.

"How dare you kiss me?"

"Are you mad? Can't you see that was not a kiss and I saved you with it"

"I was safe without you", she glared at him sideways and coughed.

"It's better to save the trees than saving an ungrateful fool like you", he raised his hands up in the sky but nothing happened, he again did the same but in vain.

"Huh, calling rain?", she replied while taunting him. He thought about why his magic is not working, he recalled the situation in the pond and quickly held her hand.

"Wh-what are you doing?".

This time he raised his hand and to their surprise, it worked. Finally, he can use his magic to bring rain and control wind. She was not surprised as she had witnessed it in the Netherlands also ,but still this time in front of her, it seems like an illusion. He was shocked as it was the first time anything like this had happened. She pushed his hand away and yelled at him "You better stay away from me, I don't care if you are human or whatever. Just stay away from me". She was walking away but he held her and told her that she can't leave until the forest fire is out as his powers are not working if he doesn't hold her hand. She didn't believe his nonsense but can't deny what she saw earlier.

"But..."

"Don't worry, you are far beyond my preference"

"Huh! Wh-what did you just say?" she didn't hear something so ridiculous ever. He holds her hand again and assures her that once he solves this problem he will explain everything. Holding her hands, he was extinguishing the fire using his powers and she was glancing at him, her raised eyebrows can depict her confusion and concentration on something which seems not more than a delusion. After a while, they completely get the fire over and it brings half the damage than predicted.

"You are not a human. Right?", she asked. He leaves her hand and tells her that he is a human just like her. "I can't control wind and air like this?", she reacts. "Then you are less human than me", he riposted and walked away. She followed him and he told her to go away as he is busy. She taunts him with gleaming eyes that now his powers require her help so even if he is busy then also he needs her help. His subordinates came to report the situation but stopped after seeing her. They looked at him and he replied to them to say whatever they were saying, she is also, sort of helping. They tell him that the fire is in control and it's time to go back as the next calamity is after a week. He told them to let others leave and you two come with me. They went to the area where she saw them hiding their spaceship-like thing.

"You don't need to follow us now. I will arrange someone to drop you at your house", said the masked leader and sign one of his masked subordinates to go. But Sera was not ready to leave and now she is aware that they can't kill her because they need her to use their power, so she told him that she saw everything earlier and now she wants a clear explanation about who they are and what their purpose is. A masked girl asked the leader if she needed to take care of her.

"Excuse me! Don't take me lightly, your leader needs me", everyone looked at the leader and he told her to say it clearly. He clarifies what happened earlier and how he can't use his powers without her help. The masked girl asked him if he needed her hand, then we could just take her hand. Sera can't believe what she just heard and yelled at her "Yo-you... what do yo-you just say? Take my hands? Are you mad or what? That too with a straight face, are you guys psycho-killers?" and quickly turns her hand behind her back. The leader laughed at her and said that his subordinate was just kidding, they didn't hurt anyone ever, let alone kill them. He told her to follow them to their planet and once they get the solution of curing his powers again, they will bring her back safely. Sera clears her ears with a finger as she thinks that some water gets in which affects her hearing. "If I heard right, you just said 'your planet', right?", she laughed and suddenly her expression changed to "it's better to leave now. Bye". She quickly turned to run away but he held her hand "i told you earlier to leave but now you know more than enough to be left alone" and tried to explain to her but she was not ready to listen to anything, so he just lifted her on his shoulder and told his subordinates to get the ship ready.

"Wh-what are you doing? Put me down! You can't kidnap someone like this, it's illegal. Put me down!". He puts her down on the ship, she tries to run away but he holds her hand to stop her.

"Listen I-I-I can call the police, I even have evidence", she took her phone out to call, he snatched her phone and threw it out of the ship and the gates closed. He took her inside and made her sit. Before she could say anything, the light got dim and the wall in front of her turned transparent and she could see that they were actually flying. She was entirely dumbfounded and couldn't utter a word. He told her that she might find it difficult to believe but like her only, he is also a human but from a different planet. He told her that his planet is just similar to Earth, in fact, it would be better to say that Earth is like a mother planet to us and they protect their mother for centuries.

"That means you are really the one sent from above to help", she taunts him. He further told her that people on Earth believe that dinosaurs got extinct due to an asteroid. "No, I don't believe that, in fact for me, it's more like they did space travel", she cuts him in between to put her point.

"But that's true! They did get extinct due to an asteroid attack but as I told you earlier we protect the earth like our mother and my ancestors also went to earth to save those dinosaurs but unfortunately only a few got to be saved and the rest die", he explained. She quickly stands in excitement "I knew this! I knew this! They can't get extinct like this, nobody believed it but now that's true. Do they still exist?". He told her to sit and listen to it clearly as when they reach there she needs to be aware of a few things to not get caught.

He told her that they don't have dinosaurs on their planet but somewhere else, which is suitable habitat for them. He further told her that on their planet they have everything just like Earth except for one thing i.e. mobile phones. They don't have mobile phones as the radiation is affecting their planet's climate conditions, so they use letters which are faster than SMS!

"Hang on! I'm not going to settle there, just find your powers and drop me back to earth".

"But still we don't know how long it will take"

"Be as quick as possible"

"Don't worry it's more terrible for us to keep you near", he murmured in a low voice.

"What did you just say?", her eyes squinted. He changed the topic and told her to not tell anyone about her being from the Earth as it can be similar to that seeing an alien on Earth. "By the way, if you are a human then how come you have powers?"

"I don't have powers, that's just our inner force which is greater than that of humans on Earth". His subordinate comes to inform them that they are ready to land. "We reached already? It's even closer than my home", she asked in astonishment. He told her that they travel at the speed of light otherwise it will take her 10 lives to reach there. They landed and he gave her a mask to cover her face. But what she saw after landing was surprising.
