CHAPTER 2;
SCRAPED KNEES•------------------------•
she walked throughout the halls, heading out to the main area. Instantly noticing Chloe walking up the steps, to which she headed over. "Chloe!" She grinned, taking her earbuds out.
"Oh. Lynn, good to see you. I guess." Lynn shook her head, "Steph is looking for you," taking a deep breath, "over there. Oh, cool photo with Rache, by the way." Chloe raised her eyebrow, heading towards where she pointed.
"Lynn!" A familiar voice rung out, waving her over. "Oh, Sam." She smiled again, walking toward her. "New book?" She asked to which Samantha nodded, they spoke for a while,
"Hey, you should walk with me and Chloe," The girl offered, staring at Chloe who was waiting at the bottom of the steps. "I'm good, thank you though, Lynn." The girl smiled, watching as Lynn left.
As the two headed up the steps, bickering could be heard from a distance; and soon bumped into Chloe. Chloe then grabbed onto Lynn, causing the two to fall. "Fuck! Chloe." She yelped quietly, holding onto her knee that was slammed against the stairs. "What the hell?" Chloe asked, before helping Lynn. Chloe helped her up, and they watched.
"What you got here, twitch?" Drew asked in a sarcastic manner,
"Oh, wow. this is some really weird crap, Prescott." He snickered, set aback from what was in the picture book. "It's not yours! give it back!" Nathan shouted, lifting himself up from the ground as he attempted to grab it from his grip. "I hate that you're on the team now. you're such a loser." Drew would shout back, "Wanna take this elsewhere, guys?" Chloe would roll her eyes, staring. Lynn was cowering behind Chloe, not knowing what to do. "The mute speaks." Drew spoke, walking towards the duo. Whilst distracted, Nathan attempted to grab his picture book from his grasp again; only to be caught. "Woah, Woah! You earn a spot on the squad, Twitch." He paused, shaking his head. "You don't have your dad try to buy off the coach." Drew began to get in Nathans face.
"At least my family pays tuition. How much financial aid does your deadbeat dad need again?" Lynn's eyes widened, shaking her head in disbelief.
"My dad lost his job at the shipyard when your dad closed it down. And you want to talk shit to me?" Samantha hopped over, rushing towards the two. "Leave Nathan alone!" She shouted,
"You know something, Prescott? I'm gonna do you a favor. You can't be a part of the team and be into this stupid crap at the same time." Drew spoke, showing the picture book again, as if he was attempting to brag. Drew looked for an area to throw it, finding it obvious that the fountain would be a good option. "You're a piece of shit. I'm going to kill you!" He shouted. Nathan went in a defensive position as he charged. "Stop it! You guys! Stop!" Samantha shouted, looking towards Chloe and Lynn for help. "Chloe, Lynn, do something! don't just stand there watching!" Lynn nodded; Chloe walked forward. "Back off, idiot" Drew would push Nathan towards the side, "what the hell did you just say to me?" He asked, angered by her words already.
"Back off? as in, go away. No one's interested in your crap." She stated.
"you're seriously defending Nathan Prescott?" He asked, "How about picking on someone your own size." Chlo would comment, looking towards Lynn a bit to check up on her.
"Which I hear.. is pretty small." Lynn chirped in.
"You're both such crazy freaks! Mind your own business!" Lynn stepped forward,
"What's crazy is that you haven't been held back yet. How is that possible?" Stepping in front of Chloe as she smirked. "You want a piece of this?" He asked, swinging his arms around as he stepped closer.
"You mean your budding bromance with Nathan? You're clearly into him. Just pull his hair, already." The brunette commented, Samantha and Lynn began to snicker quietly, but it was obvious drew noticed. "Did you two just laugh?" he asked, turning to them.
"I did. Chloe just owned you." Samantha stated. "Shut the fuck up, Fresh meat!" He shouted.
"You shut the fuck up!" Sam glared, "Go Samantha," Lynn and Chloe would say almost in unison.
"Guess you got lucky this time, Prescott. Had three girls show up to save you." Drew spat out, "Take your pervy picture book." He tossed it to the ground, walking off like he owned the school. Samantha stepped forward, placing her hand on Nathan's shoulder. "Are you okay?" to which he moved away quickly, very upset. "You think I need help?! From you?!" Nathan began to leave in a hasty manner. "You're welcome." Lynn rolled her eyes, Samantha grabbed the two by their shoulders, "are you two alright? Thanks for sticking up for him. People think just because of his family...-" Skip would walk towards them, causing Samantha to flee, cowardly."Everything okay here?" Skip asked to which Chloe replied, "no problem, Skip."

Lynney looked towards her phone, heading to the bathroom to call Nathan. Her boots clicked against the tile as she headed in, the phone ringing and up to her ear. Someone picked up, and she couldn't help but smile. "Nathan, are you alright? Don't let Drew get to.. your head." She could tell Nathan was grinning at the fact she called, "Its fine, Thank you." The conversation didn't last long, considering she was about to be late.
The day continued, and end, and then the next night. She slept in almost the entire day, but due to it being a play containing her friend Rache, Nathan was there too. She took a seat near Samantha, texting Chloe, asking where she was at as they supposably planned to hang out. Sighing, she rested her hand on Samantha's shoulder. Waiting for the play to start, but her eyes started to slowly drift off.
