(Y/n)'s pov

(Y/n):
AHHHHH!

I'm screaming into a pillow while dad is rubbing my back

Sissel:
I'm sorry. If I had controlled my outburst, you wouldn't have your teammates breathing down your neck about your past.

It's a few minutes before I can bring myself to respond

(Y/n):
Mfmp'ph npffmp mfmmpff fmpfmmf.

Sissel:
I don't speak muffled.

I sigh and roll off the pillow

(Y/n):
It's not your fault. I should have known and stopped you. Or at least realized it before they asked. Plus, you were just being protective. It... was kinda nice.

Sissel:
I'm glad to hear that. Are you sure that you even want to keep this a secret? I think that you're unnecessarily burdening yourself.

(Y/n):
Making them a social pariah won't do anything. Except maybe confirm to them that they were right. It just sounds like a pain. And I'm not seeing a way out of this.

Sissel:
Try to sleep on it. I'm confident that you'll come up with something.

(Y/n):
Mmmh.

I roll back onto the pillow

I feel him getting up before starting to leave my room

Sissel:
Make sure you wake up early so you can make it back to Beacon.

I give him a thumbs up before hearing him leave

Ruby's POV

Blake:
It seems like (Y/n) is avoiding us for now. Even Jaune isn't sure where she is.

Weiss:
She's probably staying with her father then. That leaves you two. I know that it's rude to pry, but what (Y/n) said yesterday, and her father said today brings up some concerns.

Yang:
She decided to run away and made her way to Vale. That's all.

Blake:
People don't just run away.

Yang:
Well, she did.

Blake:
Forgive us for now believing you so easily.

Ruby:
We were horrible to her after mom died. I'm sure she still hates us because of that. I don't blame her...

Weiss:
And that's everything?

Ruby:
We don't know what happened after she ran away...

Weiss:
I guess I was right to say that she was more mature than either of you. Were she not, I'm sure she would blatantly refuse to work with either of you.

Blake:
And hid it as well. You both should be thankful for that.

Ruby:
We know...

(Y/n)'s POV

I really don't want to get back to Beacon. Yet here I am, on my way back anyway. I doubt I'll come up with a way around this no matter what I try

Plus, they probably have all new questions. Or... Yeah... They probably already told them their version of events. That's a shame. Blake, at the very least, seemed cool. Maybe Ozpin won't make me work with them now. That'd be nice. JNPR would probably take me back
