Day 3

'Is there anyone new?' she talked to Soojin while on a break, one of the following days

'Mh-' the brunette thought about it for a bit before answering 'Not that I should know of, why?' taking a sip of her tea, she looked at the girl sitting in her front 'Just asking...I think I saw a guy days ago that I don't know' her memory was really strong, so she remembered many of the things or people she had met so far, and him was familiar, but at the same time Jennifer was sure she didn't know him.

'A guy you said?' Soojin smiled teasingly at her friend, who wasn't used to being teased in the jokingly manner.
She became flustered and after denying firmly that it wasn't a the tall girl thought, she said the first random thing that came to mind, to change the topic.

While talking about the new case that the investigation team was struggling with, the guy she was referring to, entered the room, chatting with a female employee...'That's him' Jennifer said pointing with her head towards his direction, the brunette turned and look, before looking at her and finally remembering 'Ahh! I forgot about him. He's Yang Jungwon, a old employee. Apparently he was scouted by the CEO in a similar way to yours two years ago and was sended to another of our agencies in another city for 1 year. I don't know him as I arrived after he was gone' she shrugged.

'Really?' Her eyes were fixed on him 'Yeah really, but I suggest you to stay far from him. Something about him just seems off' hearing her friend advice, Jennifer frowned...it wasn't in her principles to be this quick in judging people

'About that difficult case, do you know the details?' she said while trying not to be suspicious 'Yes! You know I know everything!' Soojin was an easy talkative, one of her major problems, was that she always said too much, but only when being asked by a friend.

So naturally, she told her what she was asking for and even more.
That's when, after her last sentence, the lamp was turned on in Jennifer's head, that made her realise something.
She got up immediately, and went back to the office where she was caught previously looking at the files, and scanned fastly the papers. 'I get it now...' Without wasting more time, she went outside the place with speed, holding the key of the case in her hands.

She rushed to the lounge, where everyone where gathered...there wasn't time to wasted even if she didn't study the case deeply, her only chance to be believed was to speak well.

'Hey, you ran away so fast, I thought you were sick-'
Soojin came close to the female, with a worried look on her face 'I will explain later' she briefly replied and went to the center of the room.

'I have something to say' the talking in the room didn't stop, and so her friend stood up for her, silencing the room. Everyone's eyes where on Soojin

'Jennjfer have something to say'

She silently thanked the students president and nervously stood in the middle of the room of the investigation firm, her heart pounding in her chest. She had finally solved the case her seniors had failed to, and now she was about to expose her discovery to the team.

She cleared her throat, finally ready to speak 'I think I may have the solution to the case 171'. Everyone started exchanging stares and some whispering could be hear.
Soojin quited the room, leaving space for her friend to speak once again.

'As you know, I am new to this firm and I was not allowed to read the case. However, I overheard two colleagues talking about it on my duty as a delivery documents.'

She paused then continued, 'I did my research -sneaking in the office- and with the new information I discovered, I was able to solve the case.'

The attentive girl went on to explain how she was able to reach that conclusion, without leaving any detail  out. When Jennifer finished talking, the room erupted in applause. Everyone was amazed at her discovery. But Jungwon, seemed to be the most impressed of all. He stared at Jennifer in a strange way.

As she noticed his starring, she remembered how he had caught her sneaking into the office of a senior minutes prior.

Suddenly, Jennifer felt a chill run up her spine. She couldn't help but worry that she may have been fired for her actions.

Jennifer happiness fade away, and was replaced by fear. After the break-time ended, she was called into Mr. Hanbin's office. She sat down in front of his desk, while he was looking at the screen with a serious expression and tapping on his computer.

'If it's for sneaking in the office, I would like to apologise, but please could I not get fired this time? I promise next time I it will not happened a-' He slowly moved his head from the computer and contemporary raising and eyebrow 'Fired?' the man looked at her with confusion and then chuckled

'I'm not going to fire you, actually I called you here to speak to you about something. I knew that I was doing the right choice by taking you here and you proved me right' his face relaxed and opened in a bright and happy smile

'If I offered you to switch to your own desk and work in the investigation department, would you accept?' Her jawl dropped as she couldn't hide her happiness. In the end, she got what she wanted, sooner than expected. After agreeing, she exited the room feeling relieved.

Jennifer then went to the bathroom, and after closing the door, a sigh escaped her lips as her back touched the cold wood.
The moment all those eyes were on her, she felt nervous, at least she still had her job and now an upgrade as well.

After washing her hands, Jennifer went back to the printer, that was close to her new department. She was transferred immediately and not having much to carry, other than her coat and bag, everything was done in an instant.

'Nice to meet you, I'm Lee Jennifer' She extended her hand to a blond girl standing in front of the door. She's been starring at the novice for a while now with an unfaced look, it would have been rude if as her new colleague, she didn't introduced her self first. The girl stared at Jen's hand, before snoring and walking away. 'Don't be too bothered by her, she's having a bad day today'

A male voice came from the side. She turned and meet the eyes of a tall handsome guy with tinted red hair 'I'm Park Jihoon, nice to meet you too'
The guy smiled at her. 'Lee Jennifer' her smile widened.
After taking her seat, that apparently was in front of the rude girl of before, and her seat was next to Jihoon's 'look like we are deskmates' he jokingly was referencing to school time as he was some years older than her and was in the last year of university 'yeah, looks like it' she chuckle.

As they were chatting, the tall and handsome who caught Jennifer's eyes earlier, made his entrance in the room. She noticed him, as it wasn't easy not to, and his eyes were fixed on the girl. To her surprise, he went and sit down some desks from her's. Yeah, she wasn't aware of the fact that Jungeon was working in the same department.
