"Sir, some girl has come to meet you. She says that you know her." informs his PA.
Rajeev: A girl ? Did she say her name ?
PA: No Sir but she says you will be very happy to meet her.
Rajeev: Umm... okay send her in.
Rajeev could only think about Shehnaaz but still was hesitant to believe that she would actually come to meet him after what had happened in her apartment.
And Shehnaaz enters his cabin making him numb. He didn't know what he should do and kept staring at her. This young and beautiful woman was his daughter! His and Sheena's daughter she was!
He gestured her to settle down and asked if she would like to have anything but she refused. He knew it would take time to make her feel comfortable.
Rajeev: So.... Do you want something from me ?
Shehnaaz: And why do you think like that ? Can't I visit my father ?
Rajeev's happiness accelerated. She then really came to meet him without any ulterior motive!
Rajeev: Of course you can beta! Whenever you want, come and visit me, even I would suggest you to shift in my house. Isn't it difficult for you to stay in that small apartment ?
Shehnaaz: Just because I came to meet you doesn't mean that I have forgiven you for what you did. I still remember the way you left my mother all alone and even after all these how can you even think that I would stay with you ?
Rajeev: I didn't leave her by choice! I loved her! I fucking did! I would have never left her if I had the choice. Till today I regret for leaving her like that. It wasn't entirely my fault.
Shehnaaz: That's the reason I came today! I want to know the reason, why did you leave her if you loved her so much ? If not you then who was actually at fault ?
Rajeev: Your Grandfather, Raghuvir Singh.
Shehnaaz: My grandfather ? But mama said he loved both of you and you were the one to break his trust eloping from there.
Rajeev: He must have said that because he didn't want you to further investigate about it. If your grandfather would have accepted me then the problem wouldn't have arose.
Shehnaaz: Why should I believe you ? You can also twist the truth to make me believe you right ? Give an one damn reason that I should believe you.
Rajeev took up the frame from his table and gave her. She got shocked seeing that. There were two pictures side by side, one containing her mother and the other had Armaan with another woman, must be his mother.
Rajeev: And still you think that I don't love her ? I'm carrying this picture for almost 25 years now. I would have included your picture in it as well if I knew I had a daughter.
Shehnaaz took a deep breath and trying to look out for the truth in all of these. Which Rajeev was the real one ? The one who left her mother when she got pregnant or the one who still has the picture of her mother after all these years.
She looked up at him, giving back the frame to him. She felt she could see tears in his eyes but he controlled so well trying not to make them fall.
Shehnaaz: So you are telling me you didn't leave her then why didn't you try finding her all these years ?
Rajeev: I did, everyday I tried my best to get one clue of her and it was 10 years back when I got to know that she had started working in a brothel that's why I got shocked knowing from you that she was no more.
Shehnaaz's ground slipped beneath her feet! Her mother working in a brothel could never come in her thoughts. If it was 10 years back when he got to know about that then her mother must be alive somewhere but wait was it really the truth ?
Shehnaaz: No you are wrong! You are definitely wrong, my mother died when I was born. She wasn't even alive to work in there.
Rajeev: What are you saying ? I got a video proof of her entering into a brothel. My eyes can't be wrong, I could recognise her by her one glance and that was a video how I could be wrong ?
Shehnaaz: Wait, do you still have that video with you ? I want to see if you are telling the truth.
Rajeev nodded and made a call to his PA asking him to bring some sort of a DVD while Shehnaaz was still in a daze of what to believe and what not to. If what Rajeev was saying true then there was a chance of her mother being alive.
As soon as his PA arrived, Rajeev wasted no time in inserting the DVD to his PC. He searched for the required file and played it.
The video was taken in 2012 through a CCTV. Though the quality wasn't that good but the face of the people in the video was visible for one to identify.
In the video, a car halted in front of a brothel. Two men in white suits first got down from it followed by a woman in a red saree. The men were looking here and there to find something. The lady in a red saree did the same, she tilted her head upwards and pointed to the camera facing them. The two men then aimed a brick towards it and then ended up breaking it.
Rajeev: Go back and pause on her face.
The PA did that following his words.
Shehnaaz halted in her place. That was her mother! Sheena Gill! Her eyes went bigger and bigger not believing the sight in front of her. If her mother was alive then her mama and mami lied to her. She got up from her seat making the way to exit.
Shehnaaz: I will come back after I get to know the truth.
Rajeev nodded while she left.
PA: Is it her Sir ?
Rajeev: Yes, it is her.
Shehnaaz took a taxi to her home. While being in the taxi, she quickly booked a ticket to Punjab after 3 days.
On the other side.
Sidharth was banging on the door furiously. Vivan quickly opened the door and found his brother in a state of worry.
Sidharth: Is Shruti with you ?
Vivan: Yes she is but what is wrong-
Sidharth didn't let him finish and barged inside the room. Shruti got up from the bed seeing him. Sidharth wasted no time and asked her directly.
Sidharth: Where the fuck is Shehnaaz ? I know she will never go anywhere without telling you. I'm calling her since morning, she's not picking up her phone. I went to her apartment only to find it locked.
Shruti gulped, she promised Shehnaaz she won't let Sidharth know before Shehnaaz telling him.
Shruti: Umm..actually Sidharth she went to visit a doctor, she was suffering from fever last night before it gets overboard I asked her to go. She didn't tell you to not make you worry.
Sidharth sighed.
Sidharth: This girl!
