Chapter 102 - The Engagement Banquet

Since Jeon Rosè had taken a leave for 5 days for the business trip to the Daegu City, she decided to spend her day leisure inside her house.

When she picked up her phone on the table, she accidentally looked at the call log. Among the missed calls, there were two missed calls from Secretary Kang and Assistant Shin, three from Park Jimin, and the rest were all from Jeon Jungkook.

From the looks of it, Park Jimin only called her on the first day she came back, and he didn't call her again for the past two or three days.

On second thought, he wasn't the sort of man to be overly fussy. Perhaps he had guessed that she had seen — that scene, or perhaps he had never taken her seriously.

Three phone calls might have been his bottom line.

Jeon Rosè also knew that it wasn't a good idea to leave without saying goodbye. She didn't have the capital to be headstrong, she was also so weak and powerless to face all that.

To prevent herself from thinking too much, Jeon Rosè spent her time tidying up the room.. That day, she had tidied up her newly rented house and cleaned all the corners of the house that was full of dirt. She placed a rag on the cabinet and held her head. Her head felt very sore.

Jeon Rosè touched her forehead to feel the temperature and yep, it was very hot. Her head was aching so much that it felt like it was about to explode.

Jeon Rosè leaned on the couch weakly.

The engagement banquet for Han Chan and Ling Lian begins at 7:30 PM. During the day, Cha Nayun contacted her and volunteered to accompany her to the engagement banquet that night. She wanted to see how the couple would act and wanted to watch the show.

Jeon Rosè had originally planned to go alone, but she didn't reject Cha Nayun's generous offer.

She stood up and washed her face with cold water. Only then did she realize that her face was very pale. No wonder Cha Nayun was so worried about her.

When Jeon Rosè arrived at the banquet, Cha Nayun was already waiting for her outside the door.

As she spoke, Cha Nayun tried to bite her face. Jeon Rosè slapped her head. "What are you trying to do? Don't lie."

"What I said was the truth. Sis Jeon, you look really good! Although you're not as stunning as Fan Bing Bing, you're the kind of beauty that's particularly attractive. The more I look at you, the more beautiful you'll be. Let me bite you."

Jeon Rosè was not used to being praised like this. She only smiled and held Cho Nayun's hand as they walked into the hotel that the Ling Family had booked.

As soon as they entered the huge engagement banquet hall, everyone's eyes fell on Jeon Rosè. Most of the business managers from the largest company in Seoul attended the event, and more than half of them knew her identity.

Almost everyone's eyes were fixated on the figure that was slowly approaching. Those who knew and those who didn't know the inside story all had different looks in their eyes.

Jeon Rosè was wearing a moon-white dress with a short piece of rabbit fur draped over her shoulders. Her long hair was tied up high in a bamboo hairpin that gave off a strong national feeling, revealing her slender white neck. Even though she was wearing conservative clothes, she still looks very elegant and beautiful.
