KILLER DOCTOR

'I''I''I''I''I''I'

SPENCER WAS STANDING IN FRONT OF THE CRIME BOARD WITH HOTCH, MORGAN AND DETECTIVE CALVIN. He glanced at Derek when his phone rang, hoping it was Garcia with good and valuable news. Derek excused himself to answer the call and took a few steps away from the three of them. Spencer could hear the snippets of Derek's conversation which just confirmed that Morgan was talking with Garcia and they would have some news soon.

" We think the shooter has intimate knowledge of law enforcement procedures, " Hotch told the detective. The woman furrowed her eyebrows when she heard it.

" Detective Calvin, how far out of your jurisdiction is crime scene number two? " asked Spencer, looking at the detective and then at the crime board. The gear of his mind was turning and he was thinking about this case and UnSub a lot now. Different thoughts and theories were on his mind.

" About a sixth of the mile. Why? "

" If he knew how difficult it is for local police departments to interact with each other, he may have intentionally crossed jurisdiction lines, " Spencer shared one of his theories with Hotch and Detective Calvin.

" Y'all are saying the shooter is a cop, " It was hard to understand if the woman was surprised or shocked by this, but probably it was a little bit of both. She looked like she could not believe what the profilers were saying to her right now. It was never easy to accept the fact that people who were working in law enforcement could be serial killers too. There was a fair share of cases where cops, for example, became serial or mass murderers.

" We're saying it's a possibility. He scouted and prepped each crime scene. He chose an elevated position with excellent enfilade and perfect field of fire, " Hotch explained to her. They were not saying that their UnSub was one hundred per cent a cop, but it was a big possibility in a case like this one.

" That's textbook military practice, " she said.

" True. "
