Assassination (Shadow x Reader)

-Chapter 3- (Executing The Plan)

'Infinite, you bitch!' I hissed, limping away. I was dizzy, I had a really bad headache. I felt uneasy.

I felt two hands push me down onto my stomach, out into the open. Infinite laughed, almost as if my suffering was tasty to him. Oh yeah, he fed off that. The light from the sun was making my headache much worse, and I was struggling to see things well. 

'Aw, what's wrong, you dying off already?' Infinite's voice rang in my ears. 

Suddenly, I heard that iconic voice.

'Infinite, didn't we deal with you already? I thought you died.' I heard.

'Sonic! Careful!' A female-ish voice said- I wasn't sure, I couldn't make it out, 'He has a hostage!'

I heard Infinite laugh again, 'Well if it isn't the so-called hero of Mobius. That's what your... other two-tailed fox said, the one with the seven metal tails, at least.' He applied pressure to my head, crushing my skull. I gasped out in pain.

'W-what?' Sonic's voice faltered for a moment, then the pressure on me disappeared. I felt hands gently wrap around me, and then I was lifted away. 

'Hey- hey it's okay!' My vision ever so slightly cleared. It was Nine- no. Mang- no. It was the original Tails. He was flying me away from the fight, 'You're badly damaged, but it's okay! I'm gonna help!'

Wrong team. My brain managed to think, I need to somehow... get Shadow here... they've already gotten me into this, so I may as well do... it... My eyes closed, and I only heard the whirring of the tails spinning.

I couldn't remember anything else.

The first thing I heard was Tails' voice, 'She's banged up, she has a concussion, and for a A/C like her, that's not going to heal instantly. She also got some internal injuries. I-I think it'd be best that we take care of her for now.'

How perfectly convenient. I slowly opened my eyes, looking around. I was in some sort of lab, resting on a bed. Tails, Sonic and some... pink hedgehog- were talking. About me.

'Oh- she's awake!' The pink one said, she looked at me with a bright smile, 'Hello there, little one!' She walked to me, sitting on the edge of my bed as if she were my mother.

'Little...?' I asked.

Tails sighed, 'You're lucky we found you, you got pretty banged up.' He said, 'Concussions can last for up to three weeks... so, I'm sure you don't mind us taking care of you, right?'

Sonic flashed me a cocky smile, 'So, what's your name, pal?' He asked me.

'Uh.. Y/N. Why am I lucky...? I-' I realized I probably shouldn't tell them I know Infinite personally.

'Who was the guy that attacked me?' I asked.

Sonic laughed, 'Oh, just some guy who thinks he's powerful. His name's Infinite, at least- that's what he wants to be called. He got defeated by me and Gadg though. Man, I miss him.' Sonic rambled on. 

The pink girl placed her hand on my forehead, 'I'm Amy, how are you feeling right now, Y/N?' 

'My head is killing me.' I groaned.

'Expected.' Tails mumbled, 'Amy, if you can keep an eye on Y/N, Sonic and I can get back to looking for Sticks.'

'Sticks...?' I sat up a little.

Sonic gave me a thumbs up, 'Yep! Our friend, she's been missing for a couple of days now. It's not like her to leave without saying it's a government attack.'

I blinked, Interesting... 

'Wait..' I looked up, 'You look like... that... one guy...' I pointed at Sonic, who looked confused now, 'Shadow...?'

Sonic sighed, 'I get that a lot.' He sped away, and in a matter of seconds, he was standing in the exact same spot, only this time... he had a black hedgehog in his grasp.

The hedgehog looked a lot like Mephiles, except he had a mouth. I still wonder how Mephiles can talk without a mouth- and instead of teal stripes he had red. How... emo.

'Sonic! What the heck?!' Shadow kicked Sonic.

'Hey! Don't get mad at me.' Sonic hissed, 'They were the one's who asked about you!' He pointed at me.

I waved, then slightly hid myself behind Amy.

'Don't worry.' Amy smiled at me, 'Shadow comes off mean, but he's really kind!'

'Shut it, Rose.' Shadow walked to me, 'I saw you a couple of nights ago... what were you doing?' He asked me.

'Running.' I said quickly.

'From Infinite.' Tails saved me, 'Y/N got concussed and injured, so we're taking her in.'

I nodded, agreeing to Tails. It was exactly as the others had said. He never smiles, he always seems to be glaring. 

Sonic looked uneasy, he glanced at Shadow, then looked to Tails, 'Shadow... can I talk to you real quick... about... something?' He asked awkwardly. Shadow looked to Sonic, then nodded. In a flash of blue and orange, both of them were gone. 

I closed my eyes, Jeez, thanks Nine. 

He says no problem. A voice replied. I almost screamed. I jumped a little, looking around, then I realized.

You guys put one of those chips in my brain?! I hissed. When it came to undercover missions, sometimes we'd put chips into the brain of whoever it was so we could help the person who was going undercover. Did they not trust me to do this on my own, even after they forced me to do this?!

It's a necessary precaution. Remember, we all have dealt with Shadow before, so we know how to handle certain situations. Nine's voice rang in my head. I sighed, closing my eyes.

'This sucks.' I mumbled.

I felt a hand on my forehead, I slightly opened my eyes up to see Amy smiling at me, 'Don't you worry, we're going to get you back to full health in no time. I promise it!'

I looked out of the lab, seeing Shadow and Sonic's figure talking, And the Ultimate Life Form himself, will die, thanks to all of you.
