Chapter 5

They drove to German's house. There they were greeted by Martin. German guided Kassandra up to his room. "Welcome home." He said putting her suitcases down.

"Are we going to sleep in the same room?" She asked nervously.

"Well, after what we just did, I would think so." He said pulling her closer and kissing her. "Unless you feel more comfortable in your own room?"

"I just don't want people talking."

"You moved into my house, they are already going to talk. Go put on a bathing suit and meet me by the pool." He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and left her alone in the room.

She looked through her suitcases until she found her only bathing suit. A black bikini that tied on the sides. She remembered when she got that bathing suit, how mad Robert got. She only wore it here at German's house whenever she would come visit. She changed and looked at her reflection in the mirror. She had just had sex with German. She couldn't believe it. They are together now. All these years and all the teasing from their friends that one day they would end up together and they actually did. Not in the best circumstances, but here they are.

She walked out of the room and crashed into a hard body. She looked up and found herself staring into Mariano's face, the guy that took her home last night. "Excuse me, miss." He said, stepping aside.

"You're keeping guard outside the door?"

"I'm your bodyguard. I will go where you go."

She started walking towards the stairs, feeling self conscious that she didn't wear anything on top of her bathing suit and this man was following her now. She arrived at the pool and German was swimming. "Thank you, Mariano. You can go back inside. I'll take it from here." He told Mariano, and he left them alone.

"Bodyguard? Is that really necessary?" Kassandra asked, pointing at Mariano.

"Kass, this is serious. Even though I claimed you as mine, they are going to try to get you. Carlo made it clear he wants you for himself. Making sure you're mine it's the only way I can protect you, and having you here helps a lot. You caused me a bit of trouble."

"German, do you really want to be with me?" She asked, hurt.

He got out of the pool and stood in front of her, he grabbed her hands on his and looked at her. "Of course, Kass. And this is the only way I can protect you." He pulled her closer and kissed her softly. She smiled and he picked her up.

"What are you doing?" She shrieked as he threw her in the pool and followed after her.

"Come here." He pulled her to him. She wrapped her legs around his waist and placed her arms around his neck. "You are going to drive me crazy. You just couldn't stay away, could you?"

"No, not from you. Am I still allowed to go to the club?"

"No, Kass. I'm serious. It's a place to deal with business. Plus it's the first place Carlo might look for you."

"What am I supposed to do while you're at work?"

"Stay here, there's plenty of things for you to do. And you are not to go anywhere, specially without Mariano. Understood?"

"What about seeing my mom and Robert?"

"They can come and see you here, I prefer that."

"Feels like you're holding me captive."

"It's for your own good, Kass. I hate doing this to you. Look, I'll stay home tonight. So, on your first night you don't have to be alone, plus I'm sure we are going to have a visit tonight."

"Who?"

"Robert, of course."

"Right, he might kill you."

"We'll see about that. Want to go back to the room?" He asked, squeezing her butt.

"Yes, I would really like that."

He let her go and swam to the wall and lifted himself out. He helped her out and handed her a towel. After she wrapped herself, he grabbed her hand and led her into the house, up the stairs and into his room. There, he stopped in front of the bed and started kissing her. She wrapped her arms around his neck as the kiss deepened. He picked her up and placed her on the bed. He started pulling on her bikini strings and pulled them off. He pulled his trunks off and climbed on top of her. He kissed her neck as he traveled down. He grabbed her leg and started kissing it slowly going up to her thighs.

The doorbell started ringing followed by loud banging. "What is that?" Kassandra asked.

"I bet I know. Get dressed." He said as he pulled his trunks up and grabbed a shirt from the drawer and put it on.

There was a knock on their door. "Sir, Mr. Mills is here to see you." Martin said as soon as German opened the door. German looked at Kassandra.

"Care to join me?" German said, opening the door wide for Kassandra to pass.

An agitated Robert waited downstairs with Terri trying to calm him down. "No, mom. I will not calm down. Look, there he is." Robert said as soon as he saw German.

"Robert, what are you doing here?" Kassandra asked as soon as she got downstairs.

"Taking you out of here. You just couldn't stay away, could you?" Robert said, grabbing her arm and pulling her towards the door.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that, Robert." German said.

Robert turned around and swung at German but he dodged it. Mariano appeared quickly and lunged at Robert, but German stopped him. "We told you to stay away from her! You promised you would." Robert yelled.

"And I did stay away and I did push her away. But she kept coming to the club. And last night her presence caused trouble, so I had to take her under my protection. I'm sorry, Robert."

"There's another way. You are going back to school and never coming back to town. You hear me? I won't let you get involved in this mafia business." Robert pointed at Kassandra.

"I can't do that, Robert. I dropped out of school. I have nowhere to go."

"What? Was this your doing?" Robert asked German.

"I was as surprised as you when she told me."

"Kassie, after everything we did to make sure you got a good education, you threw it away? Why would you do that?" Robert asked disappointed.

"It wasn't for me. I was miserable."

"How much trouble did she cause?" Robert asked.

"One of my father's partners set his eyes on her. I had to intervene and tell him she was mine so he could back off. And now they want proof, otherwise he would come and get her."

"What?" Kassandra asked. "You didn't tell me that part."

"Look, here is the safest place for her, Robert. They need to see that she's mine."

"You're saying that you two are going to fake a relationship?" Terri asked.

"No, Mrs. Mills." German said, grabbing Kassandra's hand and pulling her towards him. "Since today, we have been in a relationship."

"Oh dear Lord." Terri said looking at Robert.

Anger took over Robert and he swung at German again, hitting him square in the face this time. "Robert!" Kassandra screamed.

"That's for taking advantage of my sister in this whole situation." Robert said, rubbing his knuckles.

"Robert, I promise to take care of her. No harm will come to her under my protection." German said as Robert shook his head and left the house followed by a crying Terri.
