THIRD PERSON POV

“What?” Jennie asked for the second time as the two people in front of her were on full attention to her.

But her best friend just smirked at her and wiggled her eyebrows, causing Jennie to furrow her own eyebrows in confusion. Miyeon, on the other side, couldn’t help but giggle at her boss and her friend’s boss, which made the two break their eye contact and look at her.

Jennie glared at her secretary, making Miyeon flinch and chuckle awkwardly.

“Hehe, I’m going to get going,” Miyeon said awkwardly, pointing to the door behind her. “That’s the reason I came here,” she added, pointing at the documents she had just placed.

“Are you sure?” Jennie asked her in her usual cold voice. Miyeon nodded nervously in response.

“You can go now, Miyeon-ah. You can leave this ‘beast’ to me,” Rosé said, smiling at her.

“Thank you, Ms. Park,” Miyeon said, bowing, and was about to turn on her heels, but her boss spoke, making her pause.

“Who is your boss?” Jennie asked, raising her eyebrows at her secretary.

“Of course, it’s you, CEO Kim,” Miyeon answered immediately, getting nervous about where this question was going.

“Did I ask you to leave?” Jennie asked once again, causing Miyeon to gulp.

“Oh, come on, Frosty. She can leave now because I said so,” Rosé chimed in, rolling her eyes at her best friend. “Go on, Miyeon. Ignore this human beast here,” Rosé added while waving her hand to Miyeon with a reassuring smile. Miyeon then smiled and bowed.

“I’ll fire you if you leave,” Jennie stated without missing a beat, trying to make her secretary stay since she knew very well that her friend would surely interrogate her.

"I'll hire you if she will," Rosé answered back and smirked at her friend, knowing all too well what her friend was trying to do.

Jennie looked at her friend in disbelief. "You're a model, Rosie, and you have plenty of assistants. You don't need a secretary," Jennie said, glaring at her.

"Need or not, I can hire her, Frosty. So, you let her go, or you'll have no secretary tomorrow," Rosé said, smiling at her formidable friend who just rolled her eyes at her, making her giggle.

Miyeon, on the other hand, was frozen on her spot, looking back and forth at the two of them, not knowing what to do. She felt like she was entering a war every day, without the certainty of coming out alive.

"So... um, should I go?" Miyeon asked unsurely while wincing at her own question. Her boss glared at her while Rosé smiled.

"You can go now," Rosé said reassuringly, making Miyeon smile widely and bow once again to both of them before dashing out of the office, without daring to look at her boss who seemed to want to tear her soul apart every time.

Rosé giggled at the sight of Miyeon and then turned back to her friend with a confused expression.

"Where are you going?" Rosé asked when she saw Jennie packing her things.

"I have a class," Jennie answered without looking at her.

"I checked your schedule; you still have an hour for your class," Rosé said and smirked.

"I can teach at an advanced time in my schedule," Jennie replied, finally looking at her.

"That's against the school rules," Rosé retorted.
