THIRD PERSON POV
As the first rays of morning sunlight pierced through the thin curtains, they revealed a room in disarray. The warm light slowly crept across the cluttered floor, casting long shadows over scattered, scratched papers, pencils, and open books. A once-organized desk now bore the signs of a sleepless night, with open notebooks filled with complex equations and sketches of fantastical architectural designs.
“Urgh!” Lisa groaned in pain as her head felt like it had been punched by a hammer. She scratched her eyes, squinting through the curtains, and reached for her glasses to adjust her vision. Looking around, she realized she hadn’t slept in her room.
Knock! Knock! A knock on her door sounded, making her yawn as she spoke.
“Come in,” she said, knowing it was her sister.
“I guessed correctly. I knew you were here. Go wash up in your room and come downstairs for breakfast, baby Lali,” Irene said, and Lisa nodded as Irene kissed her cheek before leaving. Lisa scrunched her nose at the sight of her messy room, sighed, and decided to follow her sister’s instructions.
She went downstairs straight to the kitchen, noticing the complete breakfast spread, puzzled that it was twice as much as their usual breakfast.
“Good thing you’re here. Have a seat, baby Lali,” Irene said, and Lisa took her seat and drank some water.
“Can I know now what you and Nini talked about last night?” Lisa asked, having been unable to sleep because of it. She was worried and had been thinking about what she could do to make Irene approve of their relationship.
Irene giggled, seeing the worried look on her sister’s face. She rarely saw this side of her sister, who usually looked relaxed and composed. She could clearly see that Jennie had an effect on her younger sister.
“I’m asking seriously, Irene,” Lisa whined and pouted, making Irene smile.
“I know, baby. But the things we talked about last night are for me and your girlfriend to keep,” Irene said, sipping her coffee. Lisa’s ears perked up at the recognition of her relationship in Irene’s statement.
“Are you really against it?” Lisa asked carefully, and the doorbell rang, making Irene smirk.
“I think not anymore,” Irene answered, standing up and leaving Lisa puzzled. Irene went straight to open the door, and she was met by a person who looked like an angry dragon—that was the only way she could describe her at the moment.
“You came early, Ms. Kim,” Irene stated, opening the door wide.
“Where’s my Lili?” Jennie asked, looking at Irene with her intimidating expression.
“Can’t you ask properly? You ask like I’ve abducted my own sister,” Irene replied, still unable to believe that Jennie Kim...
FLASHBACK:
Jennie watched her Lili walk away after Irene told her to leave, sighing as she found herself in an unfamiliar situation. She knew this moment would come. Sighing again, she looked at Irene before speaking.
“I understand what you’re thinking, and I've given this a lot of thought. I'm still adapting to all the changes happening so quickly. This is all new to me as well, but I'm committed to figuring it out with Lili. I know this might sound unexpected, but I genuinely care for your sister, Ms. Bae. Not as a possession, but with sincere intentions. I am serious about her, and I promise to treat her with the respect and care she deserves." Jennie said. She honestly hadn’t cared for anyone like this before. All she wanted was to figure things out with one person, and that person was Lisa.
