THIRD PERSON POV

A week had passed, and Jennie made it a habit to stay at Irene and Lisa’s house, checking daily on Lisa’s healing wounds. By now, her cuts were closing, and the bruises were nearly gone.

Life resumed to a semblance of normalcy, but none of them dared to lower their guard. Jennie had plans of her own but had put everything on hold, waiting for her girlfriend to fully recover. Now, as another early morning rolled in, their day was just beginning.

"You should start paying rent, Kim," Irene remarked as she entered the kitchen. She was dressed for work, ready for another long day at the hospital, but decided to make breakfast for her sister first, only to find Jennie already at the stove, cooking.

"Is the oxygen I’m breathing really that much of a burden for you, Bae?" Jennie quipped, folding her arms over her chest.

Irene raised her hands in front of her, palms open. "One million," she said flatly, making Jennie’s eyes widen in shock.

"What? Are you paying taxes like fifty-folds?" Jennie retorted, playfully slapping Irene's hand, causing her to laugh.

"Why? I thought you were rich," Irene shrugged, reaching for some flour to start making pancakes.

"As if being a surgeon is making you broke," Jennie teased, shaking her head with a smile. Irene opened her mouth to reply, but just then, Lisa entered, adjusting her glasses while wearing a simple, casual outfit.

"Good morning, baby!" Jennie and Irene greeted in unison, immediately turning to glare at each other.

"Stop calling her that," they both snapped simultaneously, making Lisa burst into laughter, only to stop midway when both her sister and her girlfriend turned their sharp gazes on her.

"I’m fine with both," Lisa said with a sheepish grin, kissing Jennie on the lips and pecking Irene on the cheek.
“I’m not,” Irene said, placing the egg on the flour and mixing it, before giving Jennie a playful glare.

“You don’t have a choice, Bae,” Jennie teased with a wink, causing Irene to toss a handful of flour at her. Lisa, moving swiftly to shield her girlfriend, ended up with the flour landing on her back instead. Jennie peeked over her girlfriend’s shoulder, sticking her tongue out at Irene, which made Irene burst into laughter. Jennie joined in while Lisa just smiled at the two of them.

“Go take a bath, Baby Lali. You stink,” Irene teased, making Lisa look at her in disbelief before sniffing her shirt collar. Jennie chuckled, joining in.

“Yeah, Lili, you should really take a bath,” Jennie added, playing along. Lisa looked at them both, stunned.

“I definitely don’t smell bad. I took a proper wash this morning, which means my skin is clean and free of bacteria that cause body odor. It’s still early, so I haven’t had the chance to sweat. Perspiration is one of the main causes of smell. Plus, with the air purifier running, it’s filtering the air, keeping the environment fresh and reducing any particles that might affect body odor,” Lisa reasoned, still sniffing her shirt. This only made Irene and Jennie break out in louder laughter.

“We’re just messing with you, Lili. Now go get ready for class. I’ll drop you off before heading to the company,” Jennie said, smiling warmly. Lisa nodded, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before hurrying off.

Since it was the middle of the week, Jennie wasn’t teaching that day; her classes for Archi-4A and 4B were already done. A few hours later, after Lisa had finished her bath, the three of them shared breakfast before parting ways. Jennie gave Lisa a loving kiss as she dropped her off at school, then headed to her company.
