Chapter 21: Lightening Feelings

Sadie makes her way out of the shower, it being close to midnight. She goes to do her normal routine of moisturizing and doing her skincare routine before going to put on some underwear and a oversized short sleeved black shirt that comes to her mid thigh, her going to moisturize and brush and comb out her damp hair before going to put it in a ponytail.

She puts some of her perfume on before she makes her way out of the bathroom, her going to get her phone out of her purse, trying to turn it on but seeing her battery died. "Oh no..." she says to herself, her going to put her phone on the charger, her seeing the battery icon pop up with the little red at the bottom. "No...I'm sorry Caleb." She says.

She goes over to the telephone at the desk table, her picking up the phone and going to put it to her ear. She is about to dial Caleb's number but she stops when a knock is heard at the door.

Sadie furrows her eyebrows a little bit, her looking over at the time at the digital clock before she goes over to the door, her going to open it and her eyes immediately widening in shock, seeing Caleb as his shoulder is leaned on the doorframe, him being in all black attire of a black leather jacket and black jeans and black sneakers. "Caleb?"

"Hey precious." He smiles.

Sadie squeals highly while jumping up on him, her arms and legs going around him, hugging him tightly. Caleb laughs while going inside of the room, him going to close the door. "You're here."

"I am." He smiles. "Sadie."

"Yes?"

"Why did you answer the door wearing just this shirt?"

Sadie looks down at herself, her arms being around his neck. "I'm all covered."

"Yeah however there are pervs around too, that could be working in room service." Caleb responds, him locking the door and putting the little chain on the door as well. "Did you look through the peep hole before answering the door?"

"Okay okay I'm sorry don't scold me I've missed you to much." Sadie goes to hug him again.

"I've missed you too precious." Caleb goes to hug her back.

Sadie nuzzles her nose to his neck, her eyebrows furrowing a little as she sniffs his next, her pulling away from him a little bit. "You wear perfume?" She lightly jokes.

"No Esther came by to go over the new show I'm doing, Basins Orphanage." Caleb responds.

"Oh nice Caleb how do you like it?"

"I love it." He responds. "But she ended up just hugging me all of a sudden and...."

"And what?" She questions.

"I don't know it just felt...kind of weird." Caleb shrugs. "I don't know maybe I'm overthinking but I felt like she probably thought that it was a vibe there that it wasn't?"

"Like a flirty vibe?"

"Yeah but that wasn't the case."

"Where were you both?"

"In my hotel room."

Sadie nods a little. "Yeah that plus you both being alone she probably just felt that feeling, plus look at you you're a handsome man." She smiles. "But it's probably nothing, just her appreciating you."

"Yeah she said her Dad doesn't really take her seriously since she wants to be a producer and director."

"See that could just be the case."

"You're right I don't want to automatically assume." Caleb says, him going to put Sadie down.

"But....maybe next time not in the room, your own hotel room?" She says softly.
