Chapter 1

It was my first day at Hope's Peak Academy, the elite school for gifted individuals. It had always been my dream to attend here, and now that I'm here, I feel like my my dreams have come to life. Well, I guess they have now that I think about it.

Oh, hello there! I'm Hina Nene, the Ultimate Fanart Designer. As you might of guessed, I'm a girl at the age of 15, who is very rambunctious sometimes. I used to go to a different high school (Juban Academy) but then I randomly got an acceptance letter from Hope's Peak Academy. Of course, it was a hard decision to accept, but my friends insisted that I go. So... here I am!

It was scary, going to a school where everyone already knew each other, and I was a little afraid I would be a bit of an odd duck compared to them, but hopefully everything would go somewhat smoothly.

Before I knew it, I was in front of the door to classroom 77-B, the classroom I would be in most of the year. I took a deep breath and opened the door. I was greeted with, well, not many people.

Teacher aside, there was 5 people. One sat in the very back by the wall closest to me with his feet on the table. If I'm being honest, he had a bit of a baby face. There was also a girl with gray hair and braids that sat diagonally from him. She looked pretty serious. By the wall opposite of me sat two girls who were both in the front. One had blonde hair that was put up into a big ponytail and was wearing a yellow kimono. The other had short, red hair. They both looked pretty nice. Also in the front row, was a girl with long, blonde hair. She was next to the wall closest to me. The teacher, on the other hand, had long, orange hair tied in a ponytail. I guessed that she was Ms. Yukesome (my teacher).

When I entered the room, everyone looked at me with their eyebrows furrowed. Everyone, except for Ms. Yukesome, of course.

"Well, it seems that we will be having another student join us this year! How delightful!" said the girl that sat closest to where I was standing. "I'm Sonia Nevermind, the Ultimate Princess! It's a pleasure to meet your attendance!" Attendance? I thought.

"I believe you mean acquaintance, Sonia." corrected Ms. Yukesome. "But yes, this is our new student that shall be joining us. Please welcome Miss Hina Nene." The room was so quiet, I think I heard a cricket chirp from outside.

"Are we sure she's even in the right school? I mean, she doesn't look special at all!" the girl with the blonde ponytail said. Thinking about what I look like, I guess I do look a little ordinary.

"Hiyoko-chan, that's not something you can say, especially to someone you just met!" said the girl with red hair. "Sorry about her. I'm Mahiru Koizumi, the Ultimate Photographer. Nice to meet you! This here is-"

"I can introduce myself! See? Watch!" the girl (supposedly name Hiyoko) butt in. "I'm the Ultimate Traditional Japanese Dancer, Hiyoko Saionji!" Now that I think about it, I think I've heard of her before.

"Nene, why don't you go ahead and sit down. We'll wait a little longer for everyone to show up. If they don't, then we'll round them up!" said Ms. Yukesome.

I sat down in a chair around the middle. A little later, right after the bell, a girl named Mikan Tsumiki (the Ultimate Nurse) came in. She seemed to be a bit of a clutz, and is always apologizing. She seemed to be very timid as well.

"Tsumiki, did you happen to see anyone from our class heading this way?" Ms. Yukesome asked.

"Uhm, well, I did see Komaeda-chan and Nanami-chan walking down the ha-" but she was cut off by the door sliding open.

Suddenly, a boy and a girl walked in. The girl had short, pink-ish hair and was wearing a hoodie and skirt. The boy had wavy, white hair and was wearing a white shirt with a red pattern on it, along with a green jacket and black pants that had a chain attached to it. Wait, are those bandages on his face?! Though the boy's face seemed pretty messed up, he looked pretty cute. . . No! What am I thinking!? I just met him! I thought.
