After about 5 minutes, someone came in the bathroom. I immediately stopped sobbing. I tried to listen to see who it was, to see if I recognized their voice.
"Hina-chan? Are you in here?" it was Chiaki. I came out of my stall. She must have seen make-up streaming down my face, because she immediately came over to me and hugged me.
"Why are you crying?" she asked when she pulled away from the hug she engulfed me in.
I explained everything to her as she cleaned up my make-up. "Hina-chan... I'm so sorry..." she said after I finished explaining.
"Hey Chiaki-chan? Did the two of them used to have any chemistry between them..?" I asked carefully. I was afraid of the answer. I didn't want to get hurt, but my curiousity always seemed to over-power me in situations like this.
She didn't answer until a while. That wasn't a good sign. Then, Chiaki eventually spoke. "Komaeda-chan... did used to be... romantically interested in Hinata-kun... I'm so sorry, Hina-chan! I should've told you! It's my fault you're like this." If I knew anything from having friendships, it's that you have to be forgiving. I forgave her, but I was still a little mad. Not necessarily at Chiaki, but at the whole situation.
"Do you still wanna stay, or do you wanna leave? If you want to go, I can drive you home." she offered.
"No. I don't want to worry anyone." I said.
"Well, that's good to hear, but I honestly think that the boys are already worried about us. We've been in here for ten minutes now." Chiaki said back.
"10 minutes!?" I exclaimed. "Then we need to go. Now." I said, running to the door with my phone in hand. Chiaki followed close behind me as we now walked out to the boys.
"Hey... you certaintly took your time. Is everything ok?" Hinata asked when we were back at the table.
"Yeah. You had us worried! Did something happen?" Nagito asked, too.
"Yeah. Hina-chan was just having trouble with her dress." Chiaki lied.
Nagito let out a sigh of relief. "Oh. That's good! We thought something happened, like, emotionally."
"Well, I'm fine, so need to worry!" I said. It still hurt seeing Nagito and Hinata next to each other, so I tried to cover it up. "I'm gonna go get some more cookies! Does anyone else want any?" I offered.
"I'll try one." Hinata said.
"Same here." Chiaki said.
I nodded my head and walked towards the table. I went ahead and grabbed a plate so I could put all the cookies on it. As I was picking up the cookies, someone called out my name from behind me. "Hey, Nene-chan." I whipped around so fast, everything around me was a blur. It was Hinata.
"Ow... you hit me with your hair..." he said, rubbing his cheek a bit.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to..." I apologized.
"Don't worry about it. Anyway..." Hinata went over to the punch bowl and refilled his cup that he brought over. "I just want you to know... there isn't anything going on between me and Komaeda-chan. It is true that he used to like me, but I don't think he does anymore. If anything, he likes you." Hinata reassured me. I was in the middle of picking up a cookie, and as soon as I heard him say that, I immediately dropped it and looked at him.
"Really?! Like actually?" I said a little louder than I should've. "You mean he doesn't like you?!?" I repeated, making sure I heard him right.
"That's the part you're surprised about?" Hinata asked, a little confused.
