''The Thief Who Stole My Heart..'' || A Phantom Thief Saiouma Fic

Chapter VII. The Casino

Cw/Tw! Mentions of Gambling, i mean- they are in a casino.. also keep in mind that they are 20+ in this au Say No to underage gambling! also I have not been in a casino before, so the things that happened here are based off what i think a casino is like.

3rd Person POV. 

As They entered the casino, they were met with a fancy looking area and rich looking people. Shuichi was amazed, but felt akward and guilty, he doesnt wanna get involved in this. Shuichi sighed, looking back at Kokichi.. 

...

Wtf where the hell did he go-

Shuichi looked around. worried, but only to find him already sitting on a chair, He stood beside him and whispered. 

'Wh-What are you doing-?!.."

Kokichi looked back at him with a grin.

"Gambling of course!~"

He giggled. Shuichi sighed.. And after a while 3 more people sat down, and a dealer approached them. They explained that they will be playing Poker. 

Kokichi had a silly grin on his face. Shuichi was just.. watching as he didnt understand anything.

The dealer then gave each of the 4 their cards. and took turns placing bets and and stuff.
(idk how casino's work) As the bets were getting higher and higher, the more nervous the players were and Shuichi since he knows if they lost, they'll be loosing a bunch of money.. Shuichi looked at Kokichi. who was.. Grinning..?! how could he stay calm in a situation like this, He didnt understand how the game works, but Shuichi was the one nervous instead of Kokichi. And after placing the final bets, The dealer told them to show their cards. 

...

And.. the person who won was..

Kokichi!

"YIPPEE!~ I WON!~ HEHE SUCK IT UP!~"

He cheered. giggling and taking all the chips for himself. happy. Kokichi looks over to Shuichi, Who looks like hes about to have a heart attack.

"aww~ Shu shu looked so nervous back there!~"

He teased.

"How could you stay calm in a situation like that?!-"
Shuichi said. Kokichi just shrugged in response and left. Shuichi Who was still confused, just followed.. 

"Hey shu? wanna try a-" 

"no. im not trying any games Ouma.."

"Gee! even if you'll be using my money??"

"No. Im not gonna try gambling."

"Gee fine. Lets just Go to their resturant."

Ouma Pouts. Shuichi just sighs.

"Alright.."

..

"Wait! can you wait for me here?? ill go to the bathroom real quick!"
Kokichi said, Shuichi tilted his head.

"Eh..? okay-"

"Sweet!"

Then Kokichi ran off.. Gee.. 

"..I hope he doesnt ditch me in this place.."

Shuichi sits down on a couch. Waiting for Kokichi..

A few minutes passed..

..

Kokichi was still not back. its been 10 minutes.. whats taking him so long. Shuichi was getting worried.. 

..

"I should check up on him.."

Shuichi said.. Getting up.. 

Untill suddenly. The Lights went out. 

"Wh-What the- A black out..?" 

Voices of confusion, panic and anger filled the room.. it lasted for a minute.. until a loud drop was heard followed by a ear deafning screech or ring... 

"Sh-Shit-!"

Someone said.. then a spotlight was opened. pointing at.. The Phantom Thieff! They were trying to pick up the microphone

"erm- Woops my bad! i didnt mean to make yall deaf lol!"

More Voices filled the room. But more on the Angry side..

"Noow.. for the reason why im here.. well- isnt that obvious? im gonna steal something sooo toodles!~" 

The thief grabbed a grappling hook and shot it toward the 3rd floor railings, and jumping off, the grappling hook pushed him up, They grabbed something from his pocket.. and activated it, dropping it down to the 1st floor where most of the people was.. 

Shuichi had a split second to see what it was. but he was definitely sure.. it was some kind of grenande.. His eyes widen and tried to run. The Grenade hit the floor.. and then exploded into pinkish purple gas that almost filled the room. People who inhaled it started passing out. But Some people, including Shuichi, escaped the gas. 

Panting. Shuichi ran to the 3rd floor. looking for The Thief.. But he was no where to be seen. He looked at the 4th floor, there was no Thief. 5th? nope. 6th? no- 

.

..No thief. But there was something else. a Diamond. That must have been the thing the thief was about to steal. But He wasnt there yet. maybe Shuichi can protect it from him.. maybe..

Shuichi sighed.  Looking around the room. and after a few minutes.. He heard footsteps. and saw someone peek in. It was the Thief.

".."

"Aw Shucks. You got here before me! Hmph. i thought you'd be asleep in the first floor so i took my time.. aw man now the fun is over!"

"..Or is it?~"

The thief giggled. Shuichi didnt have his gun.. but he'll still try. try to stop the thief. Shuichi glared at the smirking thief. 

"Im not letting you get this diamond thief.."

Shuichi said. trying to hide the nervousness in his voice. 

The Thief tilted their head and giggled, "You suure?~"

He said. before suddenly running towards Shuichi. Pushing him off and trying to grab the diamond.. But he fell down. He looked back to see The detective grabbing his cape.. He struggled. choking a little and gritting his teeth. Shuichi saw this and got nervous. He didnt want to kill him off. but he had to stop him one way or another.. Shuichi, distracted by his thoughts. He was suddenly punched by Him.. Shuichi screamed in pain as he let go of The Thief's cape. 

The Thief Panted. Glaring at the Detective.

"You little piece of-"

Shuichi then suddenly tackled Him.

"Gah!"

Shuichi tried to restrain him using his hands.. sweating, but he was trying his best.

"Just stop this-!"

Shuichi yelled at him. The thief was still trying to get away. He kicked Shuichi in the stomach. Shuichi grunted. Tearing up. but he still was gripping and pinning The Thief's Wrists on the floor.

The Thief Glared.. but Sighed.. Shuichi was confused.. was the thief.. giving up..

"..I dont want to hurt you. but it seems you dont want to let me go."

The Purple haired male said. Shuichi nodded.

"I wont.. im not gonna let you steal this.." Shuichi Said.

"oh? really now?"

The thief smirked. Shuichi had at curious expression. 

"What are you.. Smirking at-..?"

The Thief Hummed. 

"Look at our position Mr. Detective~"

Shuichi thinked about it. before suddenly realizing and blushing madly. 

"A-Ah! Wait thats not-!"

He tried to cover his face. which ment he let go of the thief. The Thief grinned. standing up and dusting himself off. 

"fine fine you win~ im not gonna steal it!"

"E-Eh?! Wait-! You-"

He giggled.  "yeah, i did trick you, just to get away! not to steal the Diamond. 'Cauusee in about 30 seconds, the police are gonna come! and i gotta go!"

Then. the thief ran off.

"W-Wait!"

Shuichi tried chasing after. but when he got out of the room.. The thief had dissappeared.. again.. 

Shuichi sighed. going back down to the first floor. Hearing the Sirens of the Police cars and seeing the casino's customers get treated.. Shuichi took a deep breath.. he had a feeling as if he forgot something..

Wait.. Kokichi..! 

He ran to the bathroom. looking for him, He opened the door and..

He saw him. Lying on the floor, Shuichi panicked, going over to him and checking his pulse.

Phew.. Hes passed out.. Did the gas affect Him? probably.. Shuichi picked up Kokichi and went out. The police interviewed him for a moment, He told them that the Thief stole nothing.. 

After that he called for a ride.. and after a few minutes, it arrived. He entered the car and told the driver the destination.. 

And after an hour they arrived, He paid and picked up Kokichi. He Went to his apartment and placed down Kokichi on the bed.. He tried to leave and change to sleep on the couch.. but he felt something pulling on him.. it was Kokichi. grabbing his sleeve. 

Shuichi sighed. and sat down on the bed beside Ouma.. and because he was so tired.. He fell asleep..

Ouma Peeked.. Opening his eyes and Sighing. 

"..Sorry for the trouble Shu.."

He said. before going to sleep..
