chapter 5 the warrior of blood

Hylla's pov

Hylla would rather strangle herself with her belt then say this, but Orion was right, she should have let him kill her. 

when her scouts had reported that reyna had shoved up she was of course happy that she would get to see her sister again. but she couldn't help but feel nerves as she and Reyna's relationship gets more and more deisten. She had raised Reyna to be strong and independent, and her biggest fear is that she did it too well. that one day reyna would completely outgrow and abandon her, she was the only real family she had left. 

So even under the circumstances she was glad to talk to reyna. She and the hunters explained what happened to Orion and the message left by his partner, whoever he was. 

Hylla had seen a lot of weird things when she was on Circe's island. Once a really irritating male had shoved up and Circe had literally turned him inside out. That was not a pretty sight. But when she saw the bodies in that outpost, and what happened to the hunter Gemma, Hylla wondered what kind of creature could have done it. 

Then she swore that she would kill whoever did this with her bare hands. Then literally out of nowhere this male around 14 shoved up and started arguing with the hunters. Hylla had fought monsters 5 times his size and yet this small, scrawny, pale boy gave her goosebumps. 

She was tempted to have him thrown out, but the show was too good. He started to yell about someone named Bianca and a prophecy and some oath. and Apparently Percy Jackson is dead, Hylla didn't much care about that, she never really forgave him. but it looks like it hurt thalia.

 hylla half wanted to get some popcorn because it looked like thalia and the boy was about to rip each other's heads off. Then the boy said the name luke castellan, and half of the hardware in the room exploded, she was gonna bill the hunters for that. 

Then it all happened. first Doris stumbled in saying that they were under attack and she was stabbed from behind. Hylla yelled at that, shure she had followed Otrera when she had come back from the dead, but Hylla was the queen she should protect them. 

Then Hylla saw him and she had to admit that she wanted to run away. his eyes, helmet, weapons, and armor beams with power and fear. He had stuck his staff in the ground and was pointing his talon-like finger at the boy, and offered a painless death if he gave him the statue.

 Hylla was still focused on the bodies that used to be Doris and Lulu. but thalia reacted first and said " release!!", and the sound of hundreds of arrows flying through the room, straight at the waiter. Then came the sound of all those arrows bouncing off him like they were plastic toys.

 some of the arrows exploded when they hit and he disappeared in a cloud of smoke and greek fire. Then the smoke cleared and he just stood there. his helmet had gotten a few dents and some spikes were broken, but the rest of him was completely unharmed. 

Then thalia nocked an arrow and held it for a few seconds, and sparks and small lightning danced on it. she let go and it flew straight for his eye. he closed his eyes and when the arrow hit the eyelet it shattered. he rubbed the back of his left thumb on his eyes, then he chuckled and said " is that all you got". 

he picked up his staff and it got shorter until it was as long as his sword. then Hylla snapped out of it, if he wanted a fight he got one. She picks up a sword and yells " Amazons attack !!". The amazons roar and run forward, spears, swords , knives, and daggers ready. The warrior just walked comly ahead, then they met. 

it was a bloodbath. he fought like nothing Hylla had ever seen. He swings and stabs his weapons at an impossible rate. all that armor should have slowed him down, but he moved like it weighed nothing. once an amazon got within 3 feet of him, she was dead in seconds.
