AaliyahNot feeling up to handling everyone at work, I make my way home but I can no longer ignore the missed calls and pestering texts from Blake, so I quickly grab a change of clothes and make my way to work.
When I walk into the office, Blake nearly runs into a table in his rush to get to me "There you are! Where have you been? I've been calling you."
"Sorry, I had a couple of meetings. Was Armin trying to chase me down or something?"
"No, I think he's been too distracted to notice you were missing. He's still blowing steam about Zarah. You just have to tune out his rants or we'd never get any work done."
"What's he been saying?"
"You know, she defaced the company.....she'll bring ruin to the industry and so on."
"Wow, how insulting." Is it a little too insulting? "She definitely embarrassed us, though that monologue she gave when she quit? She acted like a teenager."
"Ha, she'd probably be pleased you think so. Anyway, I told Armin as professionally as I could to move on but you know how obsessive he gets."
"Yeah."
"Oh, the reason I was looking for you....there's a man here to see you." He wiggles his eyebrows meaningfully at me and I frown "I told him I didn't know when you'd be back but he insisted on waiting."
"Did he gave a name."
"J- something I don't remember. I'm not you're secretary."
"Sure you're not Blake."
"I put him in the meeting room."
"Okay, thanks."
He walks away and throws his arms in the air "I need a raise."
I Walk straight to the meeting room, curious on who's waiting for me. When I close the door behind myself, the man stands and gives me a sly grin "Hello, Aaliyah. It's good to put a face to the name, finally."
"I'm sorry, I don't know who you are."
"My name is Jungkook. I work for the Martha and co Publishing. I'm the one you have to thank for the fact that you're now a published author."
Oh my fucking God! He's the one who turned my life into this fucking mess "You...." My gaze turns angry and all I see is red "You...." I hardly know how to react now. I'm face to face with him "You fucking asshole." As soon as it's clear I'm far from happy about what he's done, he becomes nervous "Woah, Woah, woah, calm down."
"Oh, believe me, I could call you much worse."
"That hardly seems fair. I've made you tons of money, you're not happy?"
