When I get back to the office, I waste no time in giving Armin a piece of my mind "Kim Taehyung showed up to the open house. Unannounced and uninvited."
Armin is in the middle of eating a sandwich and when he talks, it's in between bites of food "So? Did you try selling him on it while he was there? You do realise how much of your salary is commission, don't you?"
"Yes but Armin, I told you I didn't want him as a client anymore."
"And I'm telling you it doesn't matter what you want, to have Taehyung as your client is in your best interest, anyway."
"Oh, sure."
"Yes for sure. He's big money buyer other agents would kill for your contact list, Aaliyah."
"But—"
"Listen, if you don't like it, you can go your own way like Zarah. So get it together and work with Taehyung or you're done here."
"If I don't work with Taehyung, I'll be fired?!"
"You said it."
That's not right, what the fuck is wrong with this world with pushing me around like I'm a fucking doll? "You can't fire me over this."
He sighs loudly and wipes his mouth with a napkin "I can and I will. Just try me, Aaliyah. I've had enough of everyone's nonsense around here. Now go and do your job."
He's the worst, leaving me with no choice like that "fine." I turn to leave but Armin stops me "this isn't going well for the warning I gave you."
"I said I'd work with Kim Taehyung. What else do you want from me?"
"A little respect for starters, I get none around here. I did so much for Zarah and this is the thanks I get, now she's sat comfortably at book signings—"
"Wait, she has a book signing?!"
"Today, apparently. Not that I care." He finishes his thought, I thank him quickly and back out of his office.
After a quick internet search, I find out where Zarah's book signing is being held.
When I get there, I can hardly believe my eyes.
Fucking hell, there's a line going out the door! and look at Zarah, she's eating all this attention right up. She has to know it's not rightfully hers.....
Getting an sudden idea, I grab a copy of the book and worm my way into the line "Zarah! Wow, look at all your fans."
