A Corrupt Mercy Soul (Undertale Au)

The start (Chapter 1)

𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴, "this is for what's being said", and 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬.

The sound of quick and light footsteps, as the sound of leaves rustle in the wind. the sound of heavy breathing follows along, Shi: 𝘪 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, they thought as they would run deep into the forest. They wouldn't notice the hole in the ground, right in front of them, as they were focused on getting away from the townsfolk that had chased them out into the forest. they tried to run on and past the hole, then whoosh, then fell through the hole as their tail followed behind them.

they landed on a pile of flowers as they had laid on their back. they sat up and looked around at their surroundings, as they were still panicked from being chased out into the forest. Shi: 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘦?, they would pant a bit from all the running as they looked up at the hole they fell from. a hot pink and pink spirit would appear out of thin air, Shi: "woah".  they just looked at the spirit in wonder, as it had floated down and to their side, the spirit got close enough to, 𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠, their soul, that was light green and cracked, had become tinted dark green, oozing with hot pink and pink around it. their eyes widened as their eyes had become pink and hot pink, with a glow, as their eyes whites had turned black. Shi: 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨....?, they were confused and concerned about the strange energy they were feeling in their soul, after a little time went by their eyes returned back to light blue and their eyes whites returned to normal. 

they stood up and they flick their tail as they seem to question what just happened. Shi: "strange...", they turned to face the spirit and they put out their hand, as they spirit landed on it. Shi: "can you speak in some way or form?", they seemed curious more than concerned as they looked at the spirit before them. Kai: " hello", Shi would stumble backwards out of surprise. Shi: "y....you can talk?!", they sounded frightened but surprised at the same time. Kai: "i can only talk to you", the spirit's voice sounded like it had an echo to it, Shi: "h...how?", they seemed even more confused, than before. Kai: "that feeling you felt just now was a connection being shared between us, as in we share the same soul now", Shi: "how in the world did you do that?!", they sounded panicked as they were clueless on what the spirit meant. Kai: "simple, your soul was cracked from trauma and such, so it was easy to merge with you and your soul". Shi: "uhm....ok then....so how are you a spirit, instead of a living being?", they said sounding concerned yet confused. Kai: "that's a story i wish to not tell, at least for the time being, now get up and get a move on, we have places to go and see". Shi: "alright but what happens if i leave you behind, considering you're connected to my soul now?", they seemed confused as well as curious. Kai: "i would teleport right beside you if you get too far, so fear not". Shi sighed, then they stood up and let go of the spirit. Shi: "alright, so where are we headed to?", confused seeming to ask the spirit if they even knew. Kai: "just follow the path". Shi: "oh...i should have guessed, but alright let's go". they followed the path, as Shi thought to themselves, Shi: 𝘪 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘪 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦. they walked on, with nothing but the sound of their footsteps that echoed, and light breathing.

they walked on till they reached a dark room with a small green patch of grass, with light shining on it, they stopped before approaching the path. Shi: "hey.....uhm spirit, is it safe here?", they seemed skeptical, at what was in front of them. Kai: "the name's Kai, and step on ahead". they sighed, then they stepped towards the patch of grass, then a flower with yellow petals and a smiling face appeared in the patch. they jumped and back up a little, Shi: "what the?!". Flowey: "Howdy, i'm Flowey, Flowey the flower". Shi looked at Flowey closely and approached a bit as they seemed skeptical of him. Shi: "hi, i'm Shi", they said with caution, as they seemed to let their guard down a bit. Flowey: "hmmm...you're new to the Underground, aren'tcha?". Shi looked at the flower and they flicked their tail, Shi: "uhm....yea...?", they seemed confused as they have dropped their guard a bit more. Flowey: "let me show you how things work around here", Kai: "Shi don't drop your guard, you fool", Shi then looked at the spirit floating besides their head, then they nodded, as they'd grab out their dagger from under their sweater. they looked back at Flowey as they'd grip their dagger a bit tighter. 𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠, their soul appeared out of their chest and they looked at Flowey. Flowey: "what an odd-looking soul, anyways that's your soul, and your soul starts off weak, but it can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV.", "LV stands for LOVE, of course!", Shi: 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨....? 

Flowey: "you want some LOVE, don't you?, don't worry i'll share some with you", Shi held her dagger a bit tighter seeming skeptical about what was going to happen, thanks to the warning from Kai. Flowey: "down here LOVE is shared through....friendliness pellets, are you ready?", the flower gave an innocent looking smile, as Shi held the dagger a bit looser, then they looked around. large white pellets appeared above Shi and Kai, as the pellets were falling to the ground. Flowey: "catch as many as you can!", Shi tapped a pellet with the dagger, to avoid getting hit. Flowey: "hey, buddy you missed them, let's try again", as another large white pellet headed towards Kai and Shi, Shi swung the dagger at it to avoid getting hit. Flowey: "is this a joke, are you braindead, RUN. INTO. THE. FRIENDLINESS PELLETS", seeming irritated. Shi: "bug off, flower", irritated at Flowey. more large white pellets headed towards Kai and Shi, then Shi would deflect a pellet with the dagger again, as they were already irritated with the flower's antics. Flowey: "you know what just, DIE", as large whit pellets circled around Shi's soul, closing in on it slowly. out from the side a fireball was shot at Flowey stopping him before the pellets closed in on Shi's soul. their soul went back into their chest, as a figure that was a white goat, wearing a purple robe, with white sleeves, walked up to Shi and Kai. Toriel: what a terrible creature, torturing such a poor, innocent youth...", she'd look concerned while looking at Shi and Kai. Shi: "uhm...thanks for the help?", they seemed confused and they looked at Kai, then back at Toriel. Toriel: "Ah, do not be afraid my child. I am TORIEL, caretaker of the RUINS. I pass through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. You are the first huma....uhh...being to come down here in a long time.", she took a closer look at Kai and Shi. Shi: "uhm....nice to meet you Toriel, i'm Shi, and this is Kai", they seemed a little concerned, as they flicked their tail. Toriel: "alright, Shi come with me", she would take Shi's hand and lead them off down the path.
