Shi and Kai continued to walk towards the sound of running water. Kai: "come on, show some spirit for what you have done so far", Shi: "you're truly a monster, they weren't threats to us; yet you went and made us kill them". Kai: "Shi, I'm helping you more than you think I am", Shi: "helping?! the only thing you have done so far is ruin everything!", they snapped at the spirit. Shi: "you're acting like the talking flower from before....", they said as they walked up to a light blue, bio-luminescent flower in their path.
Shi kneeled down and touched the flower, Shi: "do you know what this flower is?", Kai: "it's an echo flower, you're lucky I've been stuck here". suddenly the echo flower spoke, "never trust a flower... ", Shi jumped and fell backwards, startled. Shi: "what the?!", Kai: "that's an echo flower for you", the spirit laughed, as Shi glared at the spirit. Shi: "I just realized.... how'd you know i have magic...?", they asked curiously as they looked at the spirit. Kai: "you don't feel the energy within you at all?", Shi: "I thought that was your energy.... like when I first met you....". Kai: "if i wasn't a spirit I would facepalm, but you seriously didn't know you carried magic?", Shi: "i don't need to attitude, and I really didn't know", they said irritated towards the spirit.
Kai: "so I'm going to assume you don't know how to use it, right?", Shi would nod at the spirit's question, Kai: "you're lucky you have me", Shi looked at the spirit with a glare. Shi: "you know that's not true, I would have been better off without you", Kai: "and end up dying, due to your magic cracking your soul?". Shi looked down at the ground and went quiet, Kai: "that's what I thought, let's keep going". Shi: "no, you're teaching me how to use my magic!", they said sternly. Kai: "fine, whatever you say, kid", Shi: "I'm not a kid!", they said ticked off, Kai: "you're not an adult, so you're a kid". Shi crossed their arms and glared at the spirit, Shi: "just tell me how to use my magic", they said irritated with the spirit. Kai: "take a deep breath, while you focus on where you aim, then blow as if you're trying to whistle, or blow a bubble, even though there are other ways to summon your magic". Shi took a deep breath and blew a flame, Shi: "are you kidding me?! that's all I had to do?!", they were ticked off again. Kai: "relax kid, that's not the only way to summon your fire magic, but we need to continue on". Shi sighed, then they walked closer to the sound of running water, till they reached a bridge with a waterfall beside it.
Shi: "this place is prettier than home was...", Kai: "yea yea, don't get distracted, you remind me too much of myself from before". Shi: "fine fine, but you're going to keep teaching me how to use my magic while we go", Kai: "fine, you're quite an annoying child, you know that?", Shi: "says the arrogant spirit who is stuck by my side", they said smugly. Kai: "shut it idiot, just keep moving, I want to get out of here". Shi flicked their tail and walked over the bridge, towards an echo flower ahead, Shi: "Ooo, another echo flower", they said in awe, Kai: "Shi, we have no time for that". Shi: "but I want to touch it and listen to what it has to say", Kai: "kid, we don't have time for that". Shi walked up to the echo flower and kneeled down, then they touched it. Shi: "now you can't stop me, Kai", they said mockingly. the echo flower spoke, "A long time ago, monsters would whisper their wishes to the stars in the sky. If you hoped with all your heart, your wish would come true. Now, all we have are these sparkling stones on the ceiling...". Shi looked at the spirit, Shi: "alright now we'll start heading further, but first you need to tell me another way of summoning my magic", they said curiously. Kai: "fine, hold out your paw, and focus your energy on it", Shi held out their paw and closed their eyes, then a little flame appeared in their paw. Shi: "not what I expected but it's a start!", they said enthusiastically, Kai: "yea whatever kid, just keep moving forward". Shi started walking deeper into the waterfalls, with Kai floating beside their head.
after a bit, ahead of them was another echo flower, Shi looked at the spirit, Shi: "I'm going to touch it", Kai: "I advise against it, Shi". Shi walked up to the echo flower and kneeled down, then they touched the echo flower. the echo flower spoke, "Behind you", Shi then stood up and looked behind, as there was a piscine, anthropomorphic monster, that has blue scales and a long red ponytail, with red and blue fins on the sides of her head, and a pair of sharp, yellow, threatingly sharp teeth, there were wearing amor. Shi: "oh.... boy....", Kai: "you messed up Shi, you should have just kept moving", Shi: "shut it Kai", they said ticked off at the spirit.
