TANJIRO POV 

I was just sitting and lying on my bed, staring at my ceiling. It had only been a month since Kanao and I broke up for... reasons. 

Im over it, but it still gets me in deep thought sometimes. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard my door open. I sat up to see who it was, it was Muichiro. "Hey, Mui! I wasn't expecting you today!" I said, happy to see my best friend. He was still looking down at the ground when he responded, "H-Hey, Tanjiro. I hope you don't mind..." 

I smiled, somehow happy to hear his voice, even if it was barely audible. "I don't mind at all. Are you okay? You seem... off." I said, the last part concerned. He still didn't look up.

"Im fine... I just need to clarify some feelings is all," My smile grew. "Alright! Make yourself at home, Mui!" He hesitated, before walking toward me. 

He plopped himself on my lap, of course shocked said something. "Oh- Muichiro, okay that's... that's fine." He finally looked up at me, I noticed his face was really red. "Mui! Are you okay, you're face is red?!" He put his face closer to mine, I didn't know what to do. We were staring into each other's eyes for a few seconds. 

By now, both of our faces were some kind of shade of red, mine being the darkest one. He put his face even closer, "Just... just let me figure my feelings out okay?" I slowly nodded. He smiled and brushed his soft lips against mine.

I liked it for some reason... and kissed back. I could tell he hadn't done this before, and he was nervous to make the next move. So I gently bit his lip, he seemed to understand as he slightly opened his mouth. I stuck my tongue in his mouth, I could hear his slight moans as I did so.

I made sure to explore every part of his mouth, his moans were like music to my ears. Soon enough we were both fighting for control, we were making out...

Never did I think I would be spending my Friday night MAKING OUT with my BEST FRIEND. Who supposedly, has a crush on me?

We both pulled away, panting for air. A stream of drool was the only thing keeping us together. "Does that sum it up?" I chuckled, and he laughed at my stupid remark. "Yeah, it kinda does." He put our foreheads together. 

He had his arms around my neck, and I had mine around his waist. He gave me a peck on the lips. I kissed him back, he pulled away to say something. "I think I know what it is now..." I raised one eyebrow, "And what's that?" I asked curious. "I think- I think I love you..." My eyes widened, 'So I was right?' I smiled warmly at him. I caressed his face and he leaned into my touch somehow soothed by it. "I love you too, Mui." He smiled back, and we just sat like that for a few minutes.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps, Shinobus's small footsteps probably. Mui got off me and walked towards the door, prepared to act like nothing happened. "Thanks for that." He said opening the door as he did.

"Oh hey, Tokito." "Hey..." He walked off. Shinobu walked in, "Anyways~ How are you doing since your last check-up?"

"Im doing good! Thanks for asking!" She smiled and nodded. "Of course! Lights out in a few okay?" I nodded and she left. I laid back down on my bed, this time snuggling myself up in the covers. In deep thought about what just happened, and in my head repeating. 'What the hell? What the hell just happened?'

I soon got comfy and closed my eyes to sleep. It was difficult, After a few hours I got up and went to Shinobu's office hoping she was still up. Though... those odds weren't high, I still knocked on her door, and to my relief. She answered, "Come in!" I heard from inside the room, I walked in. 

"Hey Tanjiro! Is everything okay? It's past midnight ya'know." Midnight? "Really? I didn't realize, and come to think of it, I've been feeling a sharp pain in my stomach."

"Okay, come sit down, so I can check you." I nodded, She got up from her desk and walked over to me. She checked my heartbeat, "Everything seems fine, have you been struggling with sleeping lately?" 

Now that she says something I've been not able to sleep ever since that mission.

"..." I stayed silent. "Tanjiro?" She looked at me with curious eyes. "I don't think I've slept SINCE the mission..." I said silently, shocked by my own words. "Are you just now realizing this?"

I slowly nodded, and she got up to go grab something. She sighed as her smile turned into a frown. "Unfortunately, I've run out of sleeping pills, I'm sorry." She said in an apologetic tone. "Alright, that's fine." 

She stayed silent for a few moments. "Why, was Tokito Red leaving your room?" I stayed silent at the sudden question. "I-Oh um, do you really wanna know?" I asked scared for her definite answer. "Yes," She demanded. I sighed and looked up at her.

"We kissed-" "So you hooked up?" She demanded she didn't sound like she was asking, more like demanding. "I don't think that's what it was..." I looked down disappointed, she was about to say something else, but as she was about to do so, I interrupted her. "Thanks, for everything, ill get going now."

I rushed out of the room, embarrassed. 'Was that a hook-up?' My mind wondered as I was finally drifting to sleep. 

'I'll talk to him about it in the morning...'
