Shinobu POV

"Come to me, EXACTLY after you get back from you're mission, understand Tanjiro?" I said, giving Tanjiro a creepy smile.

He looked spaced out, but then he realized I said something. "O-Oh, yes ma'am!" He said, he gave me a half-smile, that looked forced. I would know.

"Are you alright?" I asked, I swear I saw a split second of shock before he hid it.

"Im fine! Sorry for worrying you Ms.Kocho!" 

I nodded, although I wasn't buying any of it, something was wrong with him.

Tanjiro, sprinted out like he couldn't take any more questions.

Tanjiro POV

I got out of there as soon as I could. Shinobu was getting suspicious and that wasn't good. It's not like I had a good reason for acting off though, so it genuinely didn't matter. I was just being selfish. 

I was acting the way I was because Muichiro hadn't talked to me in a while, one day he just ghosted me out of the blue and hasn't talked to me since- well he says 'hi' every now and then.

I was upset because, not only did it hurt to be ditched like I was trash on the sidewalk in one second, but I had a crush on him for a while now...

'Maybe I should go talk to him- I'll do that,' I walked to Muichiro's estate, eager but nervous to find out why he ditched me so quickly. It felt like he had punched a hole through my chest, the internal pain made me wanna crumble on the ground. Begging to not fall apart.

I hesitantly knocked on the door. After I did I immediately regretted my decision. I started walking off hoping no one heard it- or at least didn't care enough to answer the door. 

"Tanjiro?" I heard a soft voice from behind me. I slowly turned to see Muichiro, with Genya behind him... he switched me out for Genya.

"Hey Muichiro..." I wanted to sound excited but I couldn't find it in me too.

"We haven't talked in a while-" "Me and Mui were eating dinner- what do you want..." It sounded more of a demand rather then a question. He was also glaring at me, which indeed confirmed my accusations. 

"I just wanted to talk to Muichiro," I said trying to make it sound as calm as I could. Which was hard. 

"Well he's busy," Muichiro looked up at Genya shocked and a little confused. 

"Thats not what Muichiro's face says-" I got quickly interrupted, "Go away!" Genya yelled at me, before pulling Muichiro in and slamming the door right after.

'Why would he traid me for HIM. He's seems mean and rude. This wasn't the Genya I first met at all... I could smell envy coming off of him when he saw me... and a little jealousy?' I walked back to my room in the Butterfly estate.

This wasn't fair to me. Being ignored for no reason- or at least for a reason I was unaware of... I hoped it was the second one more than anything, that would mean I would have a chance at fixing it. But I had no way of figuring that out, if Genya would just shield Muichiro away from me.

'Did I do something wrong to hurt him? Would that explain Genya's behavior towards me- No it cant be that. Why would he envy and be jealous of my then?' It made no sense once I was too my room, I was still thinking of all the possibilities why he was ignoring me...

I sighed as I got into bed. I soon drifted off to sleep, while still thinking of possibilities, that's still wouldn't add up to anything useful.

~Morning~

I woke up dreaded another day, of the silent treatment from Muichiro. 

"Hey Tanjiro! Want some breakfast?" Aoi asked me as I passed through the hallway.

I just stared at her for a few seconds before answering, "No thank you, I'll be fine..."

"Are you sure? Master said you got hurt pretty bad and needed to gain more strength."

She was right, I needed to eat something. "Alright then, I'll have something," I concluded, she smiled and left to get some food. 

I headed to the room where I normally ate. I walked in and Nezuko, Zenistu, Kanao, and Inosuke were there. "Hey Tanjiro, haven't seen you in a while!" Zenistu smiled at me, happy to see me.

'At least someone's pleased...' I put on a fake smile, " Yea it has been a while huh?" I sat down next to him.

Aoi walked in with breakfast, after we were done eating I got up and started to walk off. "Wait- why are you in such a hurry? Off for another mission this soon?" Kanao asked, confused.

"Oh no, I don't have a mission. just going for a walk is all!" She nodded and I walked off.

After I was outside, I deeply inhaled the fresh air. As I was walking I noticed two people sitting under a tree. 

After I noticed who it was I wanted to be sucked into the ground... Muichiro and Genya.

They noticed me, and I started to walk off. "Wait!" I turned around to see Muichiro running towards me.

I was shocked sure, but that didn't stop me from seeing the shock and anger that came off of Genya's face. I didn't know what to do, so I froze.

"You wanted to talk right? Im here now, so let's talk!" He said, almost excitedly but mostly eagerly.

"Why are you so eager to talk to me? You've been giving me the silent treatment for MONTHS."

He seemed just as confused as I was. "I thought... I-" He looks back at Genya, with a glare. 'Why though?' "Let's go somewhere private."

He pulled my hand and led me to somewhere I was VERY unfamiliar with.

"Okay, I think..."
