A.N. Just a heads up that the canon S2-E1 will be split into 2 of the STA episodes. It would be way to long to do it all in one.

The group had been traveling for a while now, and they were finally taking a break. Rick and Shane made the decision to downsize the amount of vehicles they were using, to preserve gas and space. Which brings us to the current debate, Shane thinks Merle's bike has no use, Daryl believes differently.

"All I'm sayin' is that we can fit a lot of shit in the back of Jim's truck." Daryl grumbled, pissed that Shane thought it was okay to just leave a motorcycle that was in almost perfect condition.

"And I'm saying it's a waste of space man, we don't need that truck, our supplies fit in Elodie's Tahoe and the RV. Hell, you can't even drive yet, so what are you gonna do? Nobody else knows how to ride that thing, so nobody can teach you." Shane replied, trying his hardest to stay calm. It's not like he wanted to make the boy upset, but he didn't see the point of keeping it.

"Alright, alright. You two just calm down." Rick intervened, desperate to wrap the argument up so they can get on with their road trip. "Daryl. Do you know how to drive it? Shane is right, we won't be able to teach you."

"Yeah, Merle used to let me all the time. I've been doing it for a couple a' years, and a dirt bike for longer." Daryl explained, his uncle Jess had bought a used dirt bike for him when he was eight. He was only allowed to do it when he went over, his dad would have sold it for booze money if he took it home.

"It's true." Oliver butted in, feeling quite proud that his friend was cool enough to know how to ride a motorcycle. His mom let him practice with her Tahoe when he turned fifteen, but that was a lot bigger than a motorcycle.

"Oliver." Elodie warned, sending him a quick look and pointed her finger away from the two cops and Daryl. The boy huffed but followed her order, walking over to Mrs. Carol and Sophia.

"Listen, I just think it would be more beneficial to use the gas from the truck and motorcycle, for the RV and Tahoe." Shane brought the attention back to hand, but he had a sneaking suspicion his best friend would be taking the boy's side.

"Okay, how 'bout this. We keep the truck and bike for now, but if we run out of gas before we get to Fort. Benning then we take it from them, and leave them." Rick persuades, ignoring the look of disbelief on Shane's face. "I agree that it can fit more and if he knows how to drive it, then there isn't much we can do or say."

Now that Rick had made the final decision they could finish swapping vehicles. Shane and Andrea were riding in the RV with Dale and Glenn, T-Dog was driving Jim's truck with Merle's bike strapped in the back. Elodie had Oliver, Daryl, the Peletier family, and the Grimes family in the Tahoe.

(Before anyone says anything, this is the seating arrangement for the Tahoe. Elodie and Rick up front. Carol, Sophia, and Lori in the middle row. Oliver, Daryl, and Carl in the very back row. There is room for a trunk even with the third row seats up, I have a car very similar to a Tahoe and we can easily fit 8 people, more if we break laws. For legal purposes that last part is a joke.)

T-Dog taught Daryl and Oliver how to siphon gas, which they used to transfer the gas from the cars they were leaving, to the ones they were keeping. It didn't take long for the boys to get a hang of it, and soon they had all the cars ready to go.

Daryl felt a bit caged in, sitting in the very back with no way of escaping in a hurry except climbing over the mountain of supplies, or over the women's laps. Luckily, Oliver had sensed his uneasy feeling and kept distracting him with their comics. Carl was more than excited to sit with the teenagers, they were only three years older than him but they were also way cooler and knew more than he did.
