I'm Sorry

Hello! I am so, so extremely sorry for abandoning this story! It was never my intention to write two seasons and then leave it hanging.

I recently went through a lot of personal things, including moving to a new house. I was living in my previous house for nine years, and out of no where, a few weeks before Christmas, the owner sends an email to let me know that I had until March 1st to be out of the house. His daughter had graduated college and wanted to move into the house, which I understood, the house was paid off so it was basically a free house for her. It took a ton of searching and a lot of help from some friends but I finally managed to find a place to rent, that would allow my three dogs.

Before the move I had some other, smaller but still serious, situations going on, which withheld me from posting. Now that I am back and ready to go, I suddenly am second guessing my writing. I have some questions and I'm hoping anyone who has read up until this point will let me know what they think.

Should I keep going with this story, or should I re-write how the story is written? Ex: Change up some small details, fix errors in plot or dialogue.

Or should I scrap this story (not completely), and make the main character a teen boy who gets "adopted" by Daryl? I see a ton of stories like these but it's always a little girl that Daryl adopts rather than a boy. (There are a few with boys but majority is girls)

I honestly would love to write both, but I fear that I will write them to similar and they'll basically be the same story.

I am keeping this story the way it is written, I love what I've wrote so far. The only difference will be that I will change the main characters name and some of his backstory, if everyone decides they would like to see the main character be adopted by Daryl.
