BLINK - LA TORRE PRINCIPAL PT. 2

"Master Ajax, I believed that Cameron had fueled up your anger by provoking you, but it was unnecessary for you to get worked up back there. Kicking a woman's abdomen is not what I was expecting you to do."

The butler and also the personal assistant of Orlando keeps on giving his unbiased opinion to what had happened a while back. He was stitching up Ajax's wound like he was some kind of a surgeon who knows everything about fixing someone's fatal wound. It may seem impossible to say this, but I am now sitting on his lap while the butler was doing his own thing. I kind of feel like a burden to him.

I shivered unknowingly when he slowly wrapped his sturdy arm on my waist. "Believe it or not Abel, but I was not the one who kicked Cameron on the stomach. It was my girl, Lucy."

At last, I now have Abel's attention. His reaction was neutral. Perhaps he was not expecting me to do that. I, too was not expecting it to happen. Sinipa ko si Cameron sa kaniyang tiyan at parang wala lang sa akin iyon. I did that to protect Ajax. What if she stabbed him again? Paano kung tumama ang patalim ng kutsilyo sa kritikal na bahagi ng katawan niya? It's him I was worried about. At dala na rin siguro ng pagkabigla ko sa nangyari kaya ko nagawa ang bagay na iyon.

"As the daughter of an exiled samurai in Japan and an excommunicated person, I do not doubt anything that you can and will do, Ms. Miyamoto." He said to me formally.

Do Butlers act, talk, and look the same? Kamukha niya ang butler ni Alberto at magkapareho sila ng paraan kung paano magsalita at umakto. Siguro ay mayroon silang special training kung saan sinasanay silang maging kalmado palagi ang tono ng kanilang mga boses. Pino kung gumalaw at maaasahan sa anumang bagay.

Natahimik kaming tatlo sa loob ng den ng Helios Organization. Kami lamang ang kasalukuyang narito ngayon. Balita ko ay bumalik na sa pribadong isla na pagmamay-ari nila na malapit sa underground society si Orlando upang malaman ang kalagayan nila Jaime at Filipe. Nakaaligid sa isla nila si Giovanni at si Sander. Wala akong ideya kung saan sila nakapwesto pero ang hula ko ay malapit sa kalaban para mas madali nila itong madispatya.

"How come you're here, Abel? Did you not accompany father who went back to the sanctuary?"

Kumurap ng isang beses si Abel at saka hinarap si Ajax na nakapatong ang baba sa aking balikat. "I was tasked to never leave your side so long as you're here in the underground society, Master Ajax. Master Orlando is fully aware of your ultimate upgrade, but he still wouldn't allow you to explore on your own especially now that the two executives of Zarakis Organization are lurking around the underground society."

Ramdam ko kung paano bumuga ng hangin si Ajax na para bang na-insulto siya sa sinabi ni Abel.

"They were just lucky that time because I let my guard down, and I was completely alone and unaware of my surroundings. That Ulysses with his skeleton body thought that that was the end of me. What he did not know was Katarina— his partner was on her way to her new home, to us, to Helios Organization."

Napaharap ako kay Ajax. Naalis ang baba niya sa balikat ko. Sa biglaan kong paggalaw ay naguluhan siya at si Abel na tapos na sa pagtatahi ng sugat niya. I could not believe that he called Ulysses a skeleton. Kahit naman maliit ang pangangatawan ng taong 'yon ay magaling iyon makipaglaban. Sana nga si Ajax na lang ang naging target niya para makabawi siya sa pang-iinsulto sa kaniya nito.

"Why are you looking at me like that, Lucy? May nasabi ba akong mali? You look like you could kill me with your deadly stare." Natatawang sambit ni Ajax.

Humagikgik ako at hinawakan ang kamay niyang nakapulupot sa baywang ko upang malihis ang kaniyang atensyon. "Do you want to take a shower with me?"

I cleared my throat vaguely when the two of them threw a look at each other that only they could understand. I bet Abel is now judging my whole existence based from the naughty words that came out of my mouth. I cannot undo what I just said.
