Chaos dragged Stretch all around the graveyard and high in the air and tightened her grip so tight that he was in so much pain that all he could do was let himself be dragged. But in the end, Chaos finally released her coils and she stopped, and she let him drop towards the ground, only to land on a hard tree branch.
"OOOHHH! OOWWWW!" Stretch cried out. It winded him. All of his energy was gone as it was. Then he let himself fall to the ground. "OW!" He cried out.
"Now you won't be able to do anything for a while, you kidnapper!" Chaos sniped at him.
"Stretch, where are you?!" There were voices in the distance. Chaos heard them. "Don't forget this lesson, and I will be back later for my babies!" She proclaimed before turning tail and flying away.
Stretch could barely hear what she said as she left as he could only concentrate on his poor pained stomach as it throbbed. He winced as his hands were now gripping it tightly. His face was just showing his pain.
"Stretch!"
"Uncle Stretch!" Casper cried out.
"Ov-er here." Stretch managed to say. His voice was weak. Tears were in his eyes too.
Stinkie, Fatso, and Casper managed to hear Stretch's voice, but what they saw scared them out of their sheets.
Stretch was lying on the ground with a badly injured stomach. It was red and inflamed. There were some puncture marks in it too. His hands were gripping it.
"Uncle Stretch, what happened to you?" Casper asked as he and his uncles came down.
"Stretch?" Stinkie asked. "Did Chaos do this to you?"
Stretch nodded. He couldn't talk.
"Why would she do this to you?" Fatso asked.
Stinkie whacked his head. "Revenge, of course!" He gave an angry look.
"Oh, babies..." Stretch rasped, as he tried his best to breathe.
"We have to get those wounds treated, Uncle Stretch." Casper said with urgency.
"Can you get up, Stretch?" Stinkie asked.
Stretch shook his head. "Hurts... too much..." He couldn't even open his eyes.
Fatso then spoke up, "You'll have to be his gurney, Short Sheet."
"Good idea, Fatso." Stinkie declared.
Casper was glad to morph into a stretcher. He went under the ground and gently got under Stretch's body. It made the skinny adult wince. "OWWW!"
"Sorry." Casper replied.
Stinkie and Fatso then picked up Casper's arms and tail points he had changed into handles. They carried Stretch back to Whipstaff.
When they got there, Dr. Harvey was called to take a look at Stretch. He was a doctor after all. He was all they had on such short notice. The twins were fine. Kat was now with them.
James couldn't believe what he was seeing. Stretch was injured incredibly on his stomach. It was deeply inflamed from what Chaos had done to him. The puncture marks alone looked like they were infected, by ghost standards.
Stretch himself was in too much pain to move, save for his hands gripping his belly.
"What did she do to you, Stretch?" Fatso asked.
"Don't talk, Stretch. You can tell us later after we treat these." James directed. "How fast do you ghosts recover from something like this?"
"A few hours maybe, Doc. But this is beyond the usual thing for her. Like when we had the flu." Stinkie replied. "Get the bandages, Casper."
Stretch was on the library couch right now. Casper gladly went to get the first-aid kit. It had some medicine and bandages in it. These wounds would take more than mere bandaids.
A whole set of bandages was taken out of the kit. But Casper knew he had to apply the medicine to the punctures first. "Uncle Stretch, I have to apply medicine. Will you let me do that?" Casper asked of his uncle.
Stretch managed to open his eyes. "Yes, Bulb- head." He replied. Casper got the medicine ready, and his uncle moved his hands out of the way.
"Stinkie, you might want to hold his hands down because that most likely is really going to hurt. Fatso, you take his tail." James gave some orders.
The two adults looked at one another and quickly did as they were told. They were glad to hold Stretch down for once. Stretch's arms and tail were held down as Casper applied the medication.
"OOOOWWWWW! YOOOWW!" Stretch screamed in pain.
"I'm sorry, Uncle Stretch, but I have to do this." Casper tried to comfort him with his words. He hated making the pain worse for him. Soon, he was done. There were many punctures on his uncle's belly. Then he began to apply the bandages. Stretch had to be moved about to get the bandages all around his stomach. By the time they were done treating him, Stretch couldn't take the pain anymore and he passed out. At least he was already dead.
The others had never seen this happen to Stretch while he was like this before. He had had injuries before but none this bad. Chaos had done a number on him for a female ghost. She sure was after-living up to her name. And just for some revenge of taking the babies.
This wasn't going too well. They had to have some help settling this matter of who would get the babies once and for all. This sort of thing would keep on going on over and over again if it didn't.
"Is there a way that a court or something could settle this matter between Stretch and Chaos?" James asked.
"We might not have a choice." Stinkie said. "Me and Fatso personally would much rather she just take the babies and leave us alone. But Stretch is the one pursuing this matter."
"I get why. I wouldn't part with Kat for nothing." James said.
"We wouldn't part with Casper either." Fatso stated.
Casper smiled when his uncle said that. "Then we have to help Uncle Stretch keep the twins." He declared. "They are our family too."
This just wasn't going to stop if it wasn't settled soon. The next day, a ghost judge was called and talked to about needing to settle a case of who would get custody of some twin children, and their parents needed an outside third party to settle the matter.
Stinkie and Fatso went in search of Chaos. They were reluctant to find her but would gladly put her in her place if they could after what she did to Stretch. Stretch could only stay in bed. He was in the bed in the nursery now. It hurt him to get up and move due to the severity of his injuries that weren't healing in his ecto.
The two grown men ghosts eventually found Chaos at her old house in the town. They reluctantly got her attention.
"Hey, Chaos. Remember us?" Stinkie chuckled nervously.
"What do you want, Stinkie and Fatso? I could cause chaos for you two just as I did for Stretch." Chaos snapped at them.
"We came to let you know that you are being sued for custody of the twins." Fatso dubbed.
"Oh really?" Chaos remarked.
"Court is on Wednesday morning." Stinkie stated. "Be there."
"Fine! I will be there!" Chaos retorted.
The two of them left so they wouldn't get hurt too. But at least it was settled for the time being.
They rushed back home to tell Stretch and Casper that Chaos was going to come to the courthouse for the case of their twins. At least this time, it wasn't over the case of Casper wanting to divorce his uncles as his guardians.
They had just a few days to call in witnesses. Miss Banshee was notified as well. She was a witness on the day the twins were born. She wasn't overly crazy for the Trio, but she would stand to be a witness if she was needed. Stretch needed her help right now if he was going to keep his twins. School was canceled for that Wednesday.
