As Sara stepped her foot into her house, she didn't know what to do at first. This was definitely because all she could think about was the image she saw the night before. It was now clear to her that it was the creature responsible for the deaths of the residents in their town.
She flew into the bathroom, rubbing a bar of soap against her body harshly and she rinsed her body with warm water. She ran out of the bathroom as if she was being chased, dapped her body with a green towel and wore the cloth that was nearest to her reach. Within no time, Sara was done and ready for work. This was unlike her. She always took time on her self.
She picked up her phone and dialed Lesley's phone number. As the phone was ringing, her mind was screaming "pick up!". Meanwhile, Lesley couldn't pick up because she wasn't done in the bathroom.
Sara didn't think otherwise and questioned herself why Lesley wouldn't pick her call. She became furious but still dialed the number again. At this time Lesley was just stepping out of the bathroom. She then went closer to her buzzing phone. Lesley thought Sara wanted something else she never believed Sara would be done so early. She picked up the call
"What the hell! Aren't you done"
Sara yelled
"Be calm, it's still early. I'm almost..."
Sara wasn't patient enough for Lesley to complete her words. She took her car keys and zoomed off.Sara's face wasn't so friendly as she drove down to Lesley's house. Lesley was about leaving her house as she saw Sara's car approaching. The tyre of the car squeaks as she turned it off.
Lesley flew into the car considering the fact that she knew Sara was already vexed. Sara drove off without uttering any word to Lesley. The journey to their work place was rather a quiet one. When they arrived at their destination, Lesley was so glad in her heart because the tension they had in the car was really high.
Sara couldn't wait any longer and strode off to Dr Lucas Williams office. Some People walking by tried to commiserate with her but she gave no room. While others who had intentions of sympathizing changed their mind because they could see from afar she wasn't in a bright mood. Finally, she arrived in front of Dr Williams door she didn't bother knocking and bragged into his office.
Dr Williams was in shock but when he saw Sara's face, he became calm at once.
He asked gently
"Sara, I'm so glad you are back but why did you barge in like that.""There's no time for all this Williams " she said angrily
◦ Dr Williams was shocked because that was the first time anyone working with him will be so confident and rude. He froze and didn't know what to do. He wanted to scold her but remembered she was going through pain and frustration due to the loss of her family
He tried staying calm and asked her what the problem was."I saw the cause of what is taking the lives of people in this town"
Dr Williams eyes brightens when he heard those words and told her to explain in details of what she saw. Before she could utter any word, they heard a sharp knock on the door."Who's there?" He asked
"It's me, Lesley" The voice answeredLesley walked into the office. Dr Williams asked her what she wanted and she said
"I asked around where Sara was and people told me they saw her walking into your office."Dr Williams looked confused and Sara said
" we both saw it, sir"
He signaled with his hands telling them to proceedSara continued;
" it was like a shadow. We couldn't be sure if it was human or not. But I think it wasn't human. It was pacing around the front of the cemetery and it was obvious it was looking for it's prey to attack."He sighed and asked if they were being delusional or they were sure of what they were saying considering the fact that Sara was mourning the loss of her loved ones.
