The next morning, the loud sound of thunder woke all of them up.
"The storm is coming"
Lesley whispers

"Why now?"
Sara cried
This can't be happening. The rain began falling heavier. "Well, I think we need to wait a while" Bryan said

Lesley look around and noticed Michelle was missing.
"You guys, where is Michelle?" She asked

"She should be in this cabin. Check around" John answered
Lesley went ahead to check the other rooms in the cabin. As she opened each doors, she really hoped to find Michelle in one of the rooms sleeping. She checked all around the cabin and Michelle was no where to be found.

Lesley rushed back into the main room where all of them were waiting.
"I can't find Michelle" she was panting heavily

"What! That can't be possible." Sara exclaims

Bryan didn't believe what lesley was saying and went to check himself. "This can be happening" he said to himself.

He walked back to them carrying a sad look on his face. " that thing took her" he muttered under his breath

Relax, we can just assume that she's dead. Maybe she's outside collecting woods." John said

"Save your breath John. Even though she went out herself, she would be dead by now" Bryan was really scared at this point they haven't gone to the exact place. One of them is missing.

"Maybe we should go now and look for her. If she just went out there is high probability of her being alive" Lesley suggested

"Yea, I think it's best we try our luck."
Sara responded

"No way, the rain is really heavy and you want us to go and look for Michelle "
John disagreed

You are such an asshole. You just want to leave Michelle like that. You don't even know what the hell happened to her. We aren't leaving without her." Lesley yelled at John and couldn't believe John could be so heartless

"She couldn't have gone that far" Sara said

They all ran out in the rain looking for Michelle. They all promised to stick together so that now goes missing again. They went into the forest, looked under every tree but she was no where to be found. All they could hear was the wind whistling through the leaves.Sara knew Michelle was dead already and it isn't wise for them to go deeper into the forest. The rain began to reduce but the wind was still whistling.

" Michelle is dead, we can't go any further" Sara told the rest.

"We can't be so sure, we have to keep looking" Lesley wanted Michelle to be alive so bad.

"We've looked everywhere, we have to get to where we are going. Time is wasting" Sara raised her voice. She was tried of all this obstacles blocking her way.

"That's only what you care about Sara. Our friend is lost and you are still this selfish" Lesley yelled back at Sara

"If we waste more time, it will take more lives"
Sara tried keeping her cool and wanted Lesley to understand that she's really pained about Michelle but there's nothing else they could do for her. Michelle's body was deep inside the forest and they couldn't go any further or else they'll get lost.

Bryan and John knew Sara was making a point. It'd be better for them to leave now.

Lesley was quiet and could only image the pain Michelle went through and she felt guilty that she couldn't protect her. She also knew it was better for them not to go any further but she didn't want to lose a friend."

Lesley sniffs
"I hear you." Her doe eyes sparkled. She tried to hold her tears back it. They all felt bad for Michelle but they had to move on.

As they were walking out of the forest, Bryan said to John silently
"Michelle is dead. That will also be our fate."

"This is really scary, I know." He patted Bryan in his shoulders.

"This is a bad sign. I can feel it" Bryan whispered
