Lesley kept on wiping her tears with her hands. She couldn't believe Michelle was dead and her body was no where to be found. She didn't want to lose anyone else.

They all went back into the cabin, packed all their things and moved out immediately. Bryan wish that as they were leaving the cabin, they would be heading off to their town but that was the least thing that would happen. He remembered Dr Williams told them not to turn back no matter what happens. This was really selfish for Williams to say.

The bus was left behind as they went on foot to the shores of the river. By this time the sun was already coming up. The water of the river were bright and the tree leaves danced as the wind blew through them. The sound the river made was so relaxing but none of them could stay calm. They knew it was the beginning of the end.

Fortunately for them, there was a boat at the other side of the river. It almost looked as if the boat was already placed there for them. The boat was old and wobbly. The paddles were covered in moist soil. It was tied to the branch of an oak tree close to the river.
"That should be the hunter's boat"
Bryan pointed in the direction of the boat, they all walked closer

Lesley bent over to see if there was any danger attached to the boat or if it was good
"This boat will breakdown before we get to anywhere" she says

We don't have any choice. Do you have any other boat we can use in your pocket? Sara asked sarcastically

"We still have to reduce the bags" Bryan suggested

"Yeah, John what the hell do you want to use all those things for?" Sara said facing John

Hmm. You don't know what will happen. Besides we need enough food" he replied

"Do you want to sink us all?" Lesley asked

"No one knows how many days we will use there" John said

"If we sink. We would not be getting there. Think about it... argh" Sara cried

John agreed to drop some things and took the things that were more important. What they needed at the place. Cameras, eye googles and other things that was needed to get clues But Typical John snuck some snacks into his Back pocket when no one was looking.

"I'm ready guys!" He yelled from a distance

"Well, come over dude" Bryan yelled back

He ran back to them.
"What took you so long" Sara asked
Well, I had to take some important stuffs too"
John replied

"Whatever John" Sara rolled her eyes as she said to John

Lesley was busy washing off the dirt on the paddles. As she was washing she couldn't stop thinking about Michelle. She couldn't stop blaming everyone including Dr Williams for sending them to a place like this.

Bryan could notice from afar that Lesley was lost in thought and he walked up to her. He held her by her shoulders and asked

"What's wrong?"
She took in a deep breath and said
" I can stop thinking about Michelle."

"Yeah, me neither" he whispered

Sara looked and she was wondering what Lesley and Bryan were talking about. They should have been heading off by now. She walked up to them to ask what the problem was.

"Why are you guys wasting time?" She asked

"I'm almost done. Just chill" Lesley yelled

"Why are you being so cranky" Sara asked

Well, because Michelle is dead and it seems you don't even care. We don't even know what happened to her." Lesley said in annoyance

"What do you mean? I do care. Michelle was my friend" Sara replied

"I know sometimes it looks like I don't care but we have to do what is expected of us" she continued
"You've just been asking odd. You know since..." Bryan whispered

"Yeah, whatever. Michelle is gone. We don't have anything to do about it. We can't keep crying forever" Sara said in a calming tone

They all stayed quiet and looked at each other weirdly

"It better we head off now. Enough chitchat guys" John broke the silence

They all walked up to where the boat was and they got in.

Lesley felt that it was a bad idea for them taking the boat. All risk has to be taken anyways

Bryan and John paddled there way through the river. The sun shined so brightly on their heads as they passed through. The chilling sounds from the river helped to calm their nerves for a while.

"Can you paddle faster please." Sara said

Bryan and John glared at each other and they could only wonder how bossy Sara could be.

"You don't always have to be a pain in the ass" John replied
Lesley kept on tilting her head just to observe the river and be on the look out if anything was coming. At some point, she stood up and almost forgot that she was in a wobbly boat.

"Dude! Sit your ass down. What the hell is wrong with you." Bryan yelled

"Ohh... I'm so sorry. This river is just freaking me out". Lesley replied calmly and sat down

"We haven't gotten anywhere you are getting freaked out" Sara scoffs

"Stay out of my business Sara." Lesley replied

John and Bryan were still paddling for about two hours and what they could see ahead was water.

"What a second. Do we know where we are going?" Lesley asked

"Yeah we do, we are on the right part. When we get to a certain cave, then we are definitely close" Sara responded

Lesley tried to calm herself down and hoped for the best but it was really hard to do. She then allows her fingers to run through the warm water of the river as their boat went by. She thought the temperature of the water will calm her nerves. It worked. Seeing the tiny fishes lived freely in their habitat made Lesley more calm

Five hours went by and they where still on the river. The sun was setting and the river was getting dark. Insects began whirling near their faces and this was becoming really uncomfortable for John who has been paddling since

"Argh, I can take this anymore."he yelled
He drops the paddle and pressed on his palm which was sour after paddling for hours.

"John! I can't be paddling all by myself" Bryan said

Well, Sara and Lesley should paddled then. They have been sitting since." John was furious and couldn't paddle anymore

"Oh shut up. We will do it... Are you okay now?" Sara cried

Both John and Bryan took time to rest their hands while the girls took over. As they where paddling, Sara sited a cave from a distance but it was hard to see it clearly because it was getting dark

"Guys! Look! I can see the cave"
Sara said in a reliving tone. She believed the horror that is flooding their town would soon come to an end. They all looked in the direction Sara pointed at and they could see a cave.
