Chapter 38: Bears

Alice

Aaron steals the puck from Nick and swung his stick toward the net, the girls and I cheer as he makes it along with his part of the team, Nick aggressively removes his helmet and mouth guard, "Screw you, Mayfield!" He shouts, "Dude we're on the same team" Aaron rolls his eyes removing his mouthguard to speak.

"Oh right" Nick smiles to himself while Abel slaps him on the back of the head, The girls and I rush toward the glass barrier as they skate out of the rink.

"How did we do coach?" Jaylen panted while sitting down on the bench, "You guys are trash now get back in there!" We all jumped at his sudden shout, the guys terrified by his sudden aggression, This was the first time I'd seen the guys so silent and eyes widened in fear.

Suddenly Coach lets out a loud laugh, The guys glance at one another confused if they should laugh back, "You guys did great as always, If it wasn't for Graham and Mayfield you all would have been gone by now"

Jaylen arches a brow while Aaron pats Greyson on the back, Hm, they seem to be getting along lately I guess that's good.

"Now take a break the game starts in 30 minutes and you need to be hydrated and read"
"Yes, coach" They all shout and start heading toward the boy's locker room while the girls and I let out. giggle, "God I love being a girl"

"Expect that day of the month" Grace corrects her while taking a bite of her Cheeto bag, "Yeah true but anyways, I was thinking I could throw a party at my place"

Great another party, I groan while Sienna and Grace cheer and say yes, "Oh come on Alice, I was thinking we could do something different this time!" She tugged on my arm as we made our way out of the rink.

"And what's that?" I slightly smiled, while Grace handed me a Cheeto in my mouth, "A party in the woods!" The girls and I froze in place while Esme kept walking but eventually jerked at us.

Esme lives beside the woods, which makes her mansion extremely creepy, "Aren't your woods haunted?" Sienna taunted while folding her arms across her chest, Esme rolled her eyes and pouted, "No that was just a creepy story my father used to tell us to never leave the house"

"Come on guys it'll be fun pleaseeee!" she pleaded stomping her foot on the ground, "It sounds pretty fun" Grace shrugged while chewing on her chips, "True but what if we get lost?"

"Pfft no one will get lost, There'll be a bonfire so you'll be able to see in the night"

"Sure I'm in" I beam while Esme and Grace cheer, "Guys I think it's a bad idea..."
"Come on Suesen" Esme teases her with a smile, Grace and I giggle as Senna rolls her eyes, "Fine, but only if they're more hot guys"

"Pinky promise I'll ask the boys to bring more guys!" Esme gestures her pinky out patiently waiting for Sienna to take it, Sienna sighs and takes it, "Fine-"

Suddenly the bell rung, announcing the rink is open for the public, "Oh shit lets go and get the best seats before everyone else arrives"

I rolled my shoulders back while Conrad placed my shoulder pads on, "Mouth" Coach hands me my new clean mouthguards, I open my mouth and place them inside my mouth and bite, "Everyone ready?" Coach shouts while everyone nods and shouts yes, "Okay now this is our first game! We are the pumas, fuck those Bears! we are the best college with the best hockey team the world has seen and we will keep it that way got it!"

"Yes coach, Yes Coach!" We all shout at once, "Good now all of you go out there, and make your coach proud. Let go pumas!" We all shout at once as our coach hands us our sticks.

We all rush through the open doors and into the rink, "Dont let those fuckers get into your head" I overhear Liam speak, I jerk behind me, and frown as I watched Liam bro hug Aaron and give Julio and Terrance a death stare, well that interesting...

I rolled it off my shoulders and went into my position which is center, while Aaron and Jaylen were my right and left wingers.

Arden was the goalie while Nick and Abel were right and left defense, and Liam, Conrad Terrance along Julio sat on the benches just in case someone got hurt.

I sigh and glance at my opponent-

My blood rushes with anger as I realize who the fuck it is.

He smiles at me and arches his brows in a taunt then gestures to the crowd, I follow his gaze-

Where Alice was as surprised as I was, "Please don't" she mouths, I take in a deep breath and glance at Aaron who shook his head back and forth, as in, we can't fuck this up, but I knew I wasn't the only one who wanted this fucker dead for making our Alice cry.

The guys had death stares on their faces, especially Aaron who wanted blood, "Hey!" Coach shouts, we all jerk in his direction, and to our surprise, he calls a minus without the game even starting.

"What this about!" The other coach from the opponent side shouts, "Give me a goddamn minute!" Coach bites out, We all frown in confusion and skate up to him.

He sighs and places his hands on his waist, "What the hell is going on?" He hisses.

"Why are you all eating that kid alive, it's ice hockey, not a free-for-all?" He sighs glancing directly at me, "We have some bad blood that's all" I roll my eyes, "Well I know this is hard to say, but keep that bad blood out of the rink, We can't get a penalty or anyone hurt on the first game got it!" he gestures his finger at me.

"Yes Coach"
"Good now get back out there"

No bad blood in the rink? well, see about that.

We all get back in our position, my eyes landing on Alice who was worryingly glancing between Ace and me, she doesn't like people getting hurt, fuck I'll try my best not to kill this fucker in front of this entire crowd just for her.

"Sticks down!" Coach shouts we all put our sticks on the ice, Ace and I staring into our souls as I prepare myself to take the puck first.

"Ready..." We nod, and Then the whistle blows before Ace can make any moves, I swing the pick in Aaron's direction, and Aaron quickly goes into action and skates like a mother trucker on the opponent's side while Jaylen and I follow back-

Suddenly Ace appears beside me, He gives me a wink as I focus back on the game, I face him off as I skate up to Aaron, Aaron paces me the puck and I shove one of my opponents out my way while the other two are by my side.

I glance at both of them one by one as I make-

Suddenly both my shoulder crunch as a strong force hits me side by side, "Fuck!" I groan and slip on the ice on my back, The whistle blows and all I see is blurriness, "Yo man!" I overhear Nick's shout removing my helmet as he pats me on the cheek, "Out my way!" Coach shouts.

Beside me was my team, Aaron, Conrad, Liam, Abel, Jaylen, and Nick, Conrad sat me up while Coach handed me my bottle of water, I removed my mouthguards and chucked on the water.

"What the fuck they nearly fucked the air out of Graham they deserve a penalty!" Liam shouts sitting up from beside me, "It was an accident bro, good minds think alike" The opponents from the opposite team say.

I groan and sit up, while Nick Jaylen, and Aaron help me up, I twirl to face them, to see them high-fiving Ace, "Hey that's not fair!" Suddenly the crowd goes silent.

We all glance at once toward our side of the bleachers, Alice sitting over the bleacher shouting using her hands to yell louder, "They are going against a player that deserves a penalty!" She shouts back panting from the cold.

"Thats against the rules you nerds!" Esme shouts back beside her, "Pumpkin sit down-" Nick sighed
"Dont call me that Nicky" Esme shouts back, I roll my eyes and nod toward our coach, "Im fine, it's just a game" It's not just a fucking game.

Hockey is my fucking life, and if they think it'll let these fuckers get away with it, they're stupid as sit, Ace has his whole team against me, but my team is stronger and fucking smarter, they're so going down.
