Alice

I hid my fist behind my back as my mother paced across the living room complaining about my "failing" grade.

"Mother it's only an A- it's not bad" I stammered with my words, Mother froze in place and pressed the report card straight in my face, "It's an A-minus for sake, Alice!"

A sigh escaped my throat before I could control it. fuck I'm fucked now.

"You know what no more cheerleading-"
"What?! I'm the cheer captain they need me!" I yell sitting up from my chair, I had completely snapped, it's been forever since I yelled at my mother.

Cheerleading is the only thing going well for me since...since mother found out I nearly tried out for Figure skating, "Don't you dare talk back to me! I am your mother and I deserve respect, now your quitting as cheer captain or I'll do it for you"

I had to hold in my words before I could curse her out, but my nails were already digging into my skin from my tight fists, here it comes.

"Why can't you just let me be fucking happy for once!"

Shit.

It's fine It'll only get a stab in the chest it's no big deal.

"You think I'm trying to take your happiness away? that is now what I'm trying to do I'm just trying to make you learn-"

"What else do you want from me?! I graduated at sixteen and I'm in a private college for 2 years-"
"A collage with the smartest students" she corrects me while gesturing her finger at me.

I took a deep breath before picking my next words wisely, "Everything I've done is for your own good" she stated confidently, how embarrassing, I arched a brow preventing myself from rolling my eyes.

Correction Everything she's done is for her, to keep her and father's image clean, "Well have you ever thought about what I wanted!"

I relaxed my shoulder waiting for her response but she stayed silent, like always when she doesn't care, "I'll go to my room now" I knew I was being immature, but to piss her off even more, I had ripped my report card into shreds and tossed it onto the floor before heading up the stairs.

Sorry Malia.

"What you can't quit!" Amber shouted from the crowd where I was announcing the sad news, there was no point in arguing with my mother she always got what she wanted even if I tried.

Your probably wondering who the hell I am, and why my mother acts the way she does, my father is the mayor and I'm "the mayor's daughter"

But I like to say I'm THAT girl, not for her fame, or her family, but for my reputation, grades, and beauty, and no it's not those types of stories where I'm a bitch.

Sometimes I wish to be, but I'm probably the nicest person this school fucking has- speaking of the nicest person here comes the actual bitch making her way up to me.

In our signature cheerleading outfit colors, a white top with red and yellow stripes with our mini skirt.

I had to roll my eyes as her two little minions Abigal and Cam followed behind, "Aw Alice I just heard the news, it's so unfortunate maybe the geek club will take you" Quinn taunted with a fake ass smile, while everyone let out a scoff but Abigail...

I had to roll my eyes as her two little minions Abigal and Cam followed behind, "Aw Alice I just heard the news, it's so unfortunate maybe the geek club will take you" Quinn taunted with a fake ass smile, while everyone let out a scoff but Abigail and Cam.

"Maybe you should join since your report card got all C-, wait they'll probably not accept you it could ruin their reputation" I sarcastically smiled while everyone let out a slight giggle, but my guilt grew bigger as she stayed silent, Did I take it too far?

"Alice I need to talk to you" God what now, I hesitated at first, but I couldn't stand the puppy eyes the girls were giving my twin brother.

I glance in Aaron's direction to realize he's checking the girls out, "I'll be back" Before I exit the gym I grab Aaron by the collar of his shirt and drag him out the two-way doors.

"Quit flirting with my friends!" I gritted my teeth while people passed by waving us Hi, but I ignored them and put my attention on Aaron who was rolling his eyes and waving hi back, "Calm down I just came to remind you of my game tonight"
"I'll be there"

Tonight's the big hockey game, where the "Pumas" are playing against our rivals the Wolves,

"Beside me, are you really planning on quitting cheer?" He asked arching a thick brown eyebrow at me, I broke eye contact and let out a sigh, "I don't know, I have no choice-"
"Cut the bullshit Alice in Wonderland, everyone has a choice"

"I told you to stop calling me that" I rolled my eyes huffing a breath, "Why it fits you-" Before I could throw a punch Aaron's shoulder had made a run for it, "Love you sis, and don't forget after school-"
"Yeah, yeah, go to practice now loser!"

Even tho Aaron had left, his words stayed behind, "Everyone has a choice" He's right, if Aaron can stand up to father and mother, I can too.

I straightened my spine and relaxed my shoulders as I walked back inside the girl's gym, "Change of plans,"

I headed up and down the bleachers where my family sat, while Sienna and Esme followed behind me holding onto a giant box of popcorn along with a diet Coke, the arena was always freezing cold, but today was a different type of cold, I was wearing my mini cheer skirt along with my fluffy white jacket.

I should have listened to the girls and changed-

"Alice" I froze in place, causing Esme to bump into my back, "Father" I straightened my back maintaining eye contact, since eye contact is important in our family, "Esme, Sienna" He gave them a smile of course he smiles at them but now his own daughter, "Good Afternoon Mr. Mayfield," they both said at once obviously nervous by my father's presence, "Take a seat we just got here"

I rolled my eyes once he turned his back, "Your still arguing with your parents?" Esme asked behind my back as we took our seats beside my family, "They are the ones being pitty, I'm just living my life" I shrugged it off while taking a piece of popcorn from Esme.

"She's right, you can't let your parents make the decisions for you, In six months we're graduating and ready for the world" Sienna cheered while chugging down her Coke.

Sienna was right, in six months I'm free to live my life, be alone, and hopefully buy a Golden Retriever like I always wanted to.

After ten total minutes, the Wolves made their way into the rink, The opposite bleachers cheered while our side booed, I couldn't help but roll my eyes, it was really mature of us.

I took in a deep breath as the Pumas made their way inside the rink, of course, like every year, they put up a show.

I watched Arden twirl in a circle while Koan did the same, the boys laughed from their little performance and made their way toward their side on the rink.

I gulped a harsh swallow as Aaron aka number 35 gave another player from the Wolves a death stare, "Who's Aaron staring at?" Esme asked while sitting up from her seat.

"I don't know" I stood up with her and leaned against the glass to see if I could notice the number and name.

Graham number 44, "Oh shit it's Greyson" Sienna sat her popcorn to the side while sitting up beside us, "Oh shit"

Greyson Graham, Aaron's biggest enemy slash rival, Greyson is the best player of the Wolves, and Aaron is the best player of the Pumas, Arden had to basically drag Aaron by the back of his shoulder pads to get ready for the game.

Aaron and Greyson haven't played against each other in months, I just know this won't end well.
