Nash stood there, a feeling of panic washing over him like a tide. He didn't get stressed out by life. He let whatever was meant for him, come. He had lived a nomad lifestyle for most of his adult life. No planning. No agendas. No worries.

The one thing that kept him from living like a hermit was his brothers. No matter how long he was gone, he always came back to Hawthorne House for them. For him. The bond they shared was unbreakable. It had always been them. And even with him engaged to Libby, he would still always be there for them. And now was defiantly one of those times.

Reminding himself to breath, he wondered if he should tell the others. He dreaded having to do it. He knew Jameson was going to lose it. He was fearful Xander wouldn't be able to handle it mentally. His brother was barely hanging in there.

He wrestled with it for many minutes in his mind. He was pulling out his phone to make the unwanted announcement but was spared. The same nurse that had helped Avery, Jameson, and Xander the day before was running toward him.

        "Mr. Hawthorne?" she asked breathlessly.

"Yes." Nash answered, hoping for good news.

"We found your brother. The nurses ran into some issues."

Nash breathed a sigh relief. "What kind of issues?" Nash asked.

"The elevator wasn't working so they had to bring him down the stairs to the next level, and then take that elevator. When they finally got down there, a patient, who has issues, was giving other nurses issues. Your bodyguards were thankfully able to lend a hand."

"That bad?" Nash asked, wondering how much damage one person could do.

She nodded. "He's really strong and doesn't like being said no to. It kind of escalated from there. I'm very sorry for the worry that it probably caused you."

Nash knew it wasn't the young woman's fault, even though he had felt very angry at the thought of the hospital losing a patient. They hadn't. They had just misplaced him, so to speak. He didn't have the heart to rail at her for the worry he had felt. "It's alright. It wasn't your fault." he said softly. "Where is he now?"

Just then, a ding alerted someone was coming out of the elevator. Several nurses with two bodyguards stepped out. The nurses were carefully wheeling out his brother's unconscious form.

Filled with relief and gratitude that nothing had happened to him, Nash waited for them to come over. The back of the ambulance doors were opened and his brother was ever so carefully loaded in. After the nurses got settled in, Nash jumped in. He would be staying by his brother's side till he was safely back at Hawthorne House. They were also going t have an armed escort travel in front of them as well.

After ten minutes of getting Grayson strapped in, and checking his vitals to make sure he was doing alright, they were ready to depart.

The ride was smooth, as smooth as it could be being in the back of an ambulance. They arrived with no issues.

Nash had hardly opened the back doors when Xander was there beside him. "Is something the matter?" Nash asked, seeing the concern in his brother's eyes.

       "You found Grayson."

"How did you know?" Nash hadn't let them know and wasn't planning on it.

"The hospital called to apologize for the fear they had caused with not knowing where Grayson was."

"Everything is fine." Nash said, soothing his brother. "He's here now, and that's what counts."

With warily precession, Grayson was brought into the house. Several guards helped bring him up the grand staircase to his bedroom. Grayson still needed to be intubated, but they tried to take everything off till he was settled.

The nightstand had been moved off to the side, and the bed was pulled away from the wall a little bit. The bed coverlet was pulled down. Nash helped meticulously place Grayson in his own bed.

An hour later Grayson was hooked back up to all the machines and monitors that kept him alive. There would be a nurse with him 24/7 until he woke up. And he would, Nash thought, He has to.

Jameson and Avery still hitting a dead end, and as much as revenge was on the back of Nash's mind, that wasn't his main focus at that moment. His little brother was home. Safe. Nothing would be able to touch him, Nash would personally make sure of that.

And he was sure, that being home, in his own environment, Grayson would wake up. He had to.
