7 - Opening Ceremony

[Viv walks out of her bedroom, leaving a still sleeping Brad, who was curled up holding a pillow.]

[She walks over to the dining room and sees Seeder, Iris, and both stylists eating.]

Iris: Oh, Vivienne! You should join us.

[Viv walks over and joins the group, sitting opposite Seeder.]

[Seeder offers Viv a smile.]

Seeder: Where's Brad?

Viv: I let him sleep a bit more.

[Seeder smiles and nods.]

Seeder: Today is the last full day; tomorrow, you enter the Arena.

The Avengers and Yelena frown at this reminder. Despite everything that happened in preparation for the games, they had forgotten what Blake was about to be thrown into.

[Viv's breath hitches at the reminder, but she nods anyway.]

Seeder: They let us work with our own tributes right until before the game, so we will be going down at nine.

[Viv continues to numbly nod.]

Seeder: You and Brad will be separated, Edgar will prep you, and then you will enter the Arena. Edgar will be able to inspect the outfit tomorrow. He can predict what the Arena will be like, but that will only be around 5 minutes before you enter.

Seeder: You probably know this, but you can take in a token. Something important to you. Do you have anything?

Viv: Yeah.

[Viv shows Seeder the Raven ring that sits proudly on her middle finger. She has been wearing it since leaving District 11. And gently passes it to Seeder.]

Seeder: [Whispers] It's beautiful.

Viv: Thanks.

Seeder: You'll have to give it to Edgar tonight after the interviews, and he will give it back to you when you are getting ready. He will probably add a chain so you can wear it as a necklace. You'll be less likely to lose it then.

[The Scene changes to an audience cheering and panning over to Ceasar walking onto a stage.]

Ceasar: Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome.

[Ceasar sits on the chair on the far left before leaning towards the crowd and continues talking directly into the camera.]

Ceasar: To the 72nd Annual Hunger Games!

[The Audience cheers even louder.]

Ceasar: Now, we all have five minutes that they will all be out here. All the Tributes that you heard about are here tonight. Are you excited?!

[The audience cheers the loudest they have so far.]

Ceasar: Let me hear it!

[The Scene changes to Viv getting ready with the help of Edgar.]

Edgar: Amazing!

Viv: I don't feel amazing.

Edgar: Don't you know how beautiful you look?

Viv: No. And I don't know how to make people like me.

The Avengers mentally disagreed with this comment. Despite the hard shell Blake presented herself with, she was a straightforward person to like. Despite her past, she was always kind to others and welcomed people kindly, even in her own way.
