13 - Goodbye

[Close-ups of Brad and Viv's feet are shown as they walk through the uneven surface of the cave.]

[Drips of water can be heard dripping into puddles on the ground. Other than footsteps, breathing and drips of water, nothing could be heard.]

[Viv signals for Brad to stop, which he does. She takes off the backpack and takes out the water bottle.

[She passes the bottle to Brad, who quickly drinks the water from the bottle and passes it back to Viv, who also drinks from the bottle.]

[She starts putting the cap back on the bottle when a mechanical noise is heard.]

The Avengers tense at the noise. They should have known that Everything was too peaceful in the scenes they had just watched.

Something terrible was going to happen; they could feel it. Their suspicions were further confirmed when they glanced towards Blake, who was still tucked into Natasha's shoulder with Natasha gripping onto her, bringing her even closer.

[Brad and Viv looked towards the sound, which is where they had just come from.]

[Brad stayed in place while Viv took a few steps forward, trying to get a better view.]

[A close of Viv's face is shown, her eyes wide with fear.]

Viv: RUN!

[Viv immediately starts running away from the noise, grabbing Brad's hand and pulling him along with her.]

[We now see what the duo is running from; the ground behind them is being broken by spinning blades emerging out of the ground.]

The group stares with wide eyes at what is happening on the screen. They weren't even trying to be creative with these traps anymore, they were just trying to kill these children in the most excruciating way possible. How was this considered entertainment?

Viv: COME ON!

[The duo is now sprinting hand in hand.]

[Viv notices how Brad is struggling to keep up with her, so she makes a split-second decision and drops her spear to pick up the small boy bridal style and runs with him in her arms.]

The Avengers are shocked about how Blake is able to lift the boy and run from the blades, seemingly running on willpower at this point. This is why Blake is an Avenger. This is why she is 'The Raven'.

No matter what, she will put her life on the line to protect everyone else, and she has done so many times, much to Natasha's distaste.

[Painful grimaces can clearly be seen on Viv's face as she sprints away from the emerging blades.]

[Brad was tightly gripping onto her.]

[She keeps running and running, not once slowing down, knowing if she did, it would most likely lead to both of their deaths.]

The Avengers watched in anticipation. Raven being an alien didn't give her an advantage since humans and the people of Panem are so similar – if one were to meet Blake, they would have no idea she was not from Earth. 

When the Avengers were first formed because Loki attacked New York, the Avengers who hadn't known her before – Natasha and Clint – were shocked to learn that the girl was, in fact, an alien. In fact, until the SHEILD files were leaked to the world when Steve, Natasha, Sam, and Blake had exposed HYDRA within SHEILD, no one knew.

[A few moments pass, and finally, the blades chasing them stop, causing Viv to slow down, panting heavily while putting Brad back down.]

[Being suspicious of why the Blades stopped there, Blake pushed Brad behind a rock, grabbing her scythe in her hand, preparing for something to happen.]
