6 - Evaluation

[Scene takes place a few days later, at a dinner table. Viv, Bradley, Seeder, Edgar, and Bradley's stylist, Claudia, all sat together eating dinner.]

Seeder: Tomorrow. They'll bring you in one by one. They'll evaluate you. This is important because high ratings will mean sponsors. This is the first time to show them everything.

[Seeder looks towards Viv.]

Seeder: They'll have a Scythe; you said you were good with those, so make sure you use it.

A scythe still remains, Blake's most used weapon, but the group watching are still intrigued to see how good she was back then? She won't be as skilled as she is now, but she has always been good with the weapon.

[Seeder then looks towards Bradley.]

Seeder: Bradley, show off some of what Vivienne has taught you. I heard you've been great with knives in training.

[Both tributes nod.]

Seeder: They'll start with District 1, so you two will have a bit of a wait until they get to 11.

Seeder: Well, I don't know how else to put this, but make sure they remember you.

[The Scene changes to show a dark grey concrete room, with various tributes around the room waiting their turn.]

Speaker: District 10, Clive Sherman report for individual assessment.

[Bradley looks towards Viv.]

Bradley: Thank you.

[Viv looked towards him confused.]

Viv: For what?

Bradley: Not giving up on me. And helping me.

[Viv pulls Brad into a side hug.]

Viv: Of course.

Everyone once again finds themselves smiling at their interactions. They just wish this duo got to meet under different circumstances.

Speaker: District 10, Julia Sammerson, report for individual assessment.

[Viv links her fingers with Brad's.]

Viv: You're next, okay. Just do what we practised, and you'll do great.

[Bradley nods his head and leans into Viv more. They don't talk – just sit.]

Speaker: District 11, Bradley Martins report for individual assessment.

[Brad stands up; Viv squeezes his hands and smiles.]

Viv: You'll do great. Good Luck.

[Once Brad left the room, Viv looked up to the ceiling, took a deep breath, and waited.]

Speaker: District 11, Vivienne Blake, report for individual assessment.

[Viv walks towards the assessment room and smiles at Brad as he walks out. Brad does not smile back, just simply nods.]

[Viv looks up to where all the assessors and sponsors are just to see them all talking, joking, and eating.]

[Viv attaches a belt of knives around her waist, grabs the handheld Scythe and inspects it in their hands.]

Some of the group sit forward in their seats, slightly watching the screen, knowing Blake will do something incredible or incredibly stupid. Either way, they knew it would be amazing.
