5 - Training

[Later in the night, we see Viv in a large bed, staring up at the ceiling with a blank expression.]

[She lets out a deep sigh, and closes her eyes, but as she does, she hears a faint knock on her door.]

[Slowly getting out of bed, she walks over and carefully opens the door only to reveal a small-looking Bradley holding his arms to himself with a guilty expression. Eye clearly bright red from crying.]

Viv: [She whispers] Hey.

Bradley: Hi.

[She stares at him briefly with a soft expression and sighs lightly.]

Viv: You don't want to be alone do you?

[Bradley shakes his head no.]

[Viv smiles at him gently.]

Viv: Come on, you can sleep here with me.

[The next shot we see is both Viv and Bradley sleeping. Bradley curls up into her side while Viv holds him tightly, brushing her fingers through his hair.]

Everyone once again smiled at the screen. Even Yelena, whose goal in life is getting a dog and having nothing to do with having her own children. However, she can imagine being a fun aunt to Blake and Natasha's children.

[The scene changes again to a dull, dark room where all the tributes gather around one of the peacemakers giving a speech before they start their training.]

Peacemaker: In two weeks, twenty-three of you will be dead. One of you will be alive.

"At least they're direct with it," Natasha mutters bitterly.

Peacemaker: Who that is depends on how well you pay attention over the next four days. Particularly to what I'm about to say.

Peacemaker: First. No fighting with the other Tributes. You'll have plenty of time for that in the arena. There are four compulsory exercises. The rest will be individual training.

Peacemaker: My advice is – Don't ignore the survival skills. Everybody wants to grab a sword, but most of you will die from natural causes. 10% from infection. 20% from dehydration. Exposure can kill just as easily as a knife.

A mischievous smirk appears on Natasha's face; she leans into Blake's ear and whispers. "I know this is the time, but god, you look hot when you work out."

Blake was going to reply but ended up laughing instead when the couple heard Yelena gagging next to them.

[Finally, it shows her looking towards a scythe on the wall. However, she decides against practising with it. Not wanting to show her speciality to the other tributes.]

"If that's your best weapon, why not practise with it now?" Tony questioned, finally having the confidence to speak again after being put into his place earlier.

"It's a piece of advice Seeder gave me. Don't appear weak, or they'll target you as a quick kill and don't appear to excel at something. Otherwise, they will want to target you to get you out of the way. Be neutral and try not to get noticed."

[Viv looks around the room watching the other tributes before her eyes land on Bradley who is trying to start a fire using friction and some sticks.]
