Chapter 6: the one where y/n finds out

This week Ross was leaving for China and I was kind of sad about it because its my birthday barbecue the day he leaves. However I hope he has an awesome time because he seems really excited about this work trip.

We are just in the kitchen preparing some of the food for the barbecue and chandler and Joey walk in.
"We are men" chandler said is a deep voice
"We make fire" Joey did the same.

We just laughed at how ridiculously funny they were.
A bit later on Ross walked in to say goodbye to us all.
"Hey could you give this to y/n."
"Uh yeah sure" chandler said to him.
We all said our goodbyes,exchanged hugs and then there he went off to the airport.

Ross pov

I felt bad that I couldn't stay for y/n's birthday but I just know she is gonna love her gift that I got her. I put a lot of meaning into it and I hope it will make her feel happier about the fact I'm not there.

Back to y/n pov
It was time for me to open my gifts,and I know I'm 25 but god nothing can beat the joy I have for presents!
"Open mine first!" Chandler said excitedly.
I grabbed his gift and ripped it open quickly,
"It's travel scrabble!"
"Yeah huh thanks" i said with a smile. "Whose is this one?"
"Oh that's Ross'"
This one had me feeling excited! I opened it and I was so shocked at what I saw.
"Oh my god,he remembered"
"Huh what did he remember?" Monica asked concerned.
"Well once we were walking past this antique store and I saw this little pendant. I told him my grandma used to have one just like this and he remembered" I said with a comforting smile.
"Woah that must have been expensive" phoebe interjected.
"Pfft do you not remember when Ross first fell in love with carol and he bought her that ridiculously expensive crystal duck?" Chandler said confidently.
"What did you just say?" We all looked at him weirdly and Joey looked angry.
"Crystal duck?"
"No,no before that"
"He fell in l-l-l"
"Ross is in love with me?"
