"So, Alex, how has preparations for college been going for you? Applied for any yet?" Demetrius asked me.

The question felt like a jab to my stomach.

"Ah, well, yeah I applied a while ago to some colleges." I said.

They all looked towards me as if to say "what did they write back?"

"I've only got an answer to one college." I said.

Their eyes were full with anticipation. They leaned in their seats and put down their forks. All the attention was on me.

"Well-" I glanced around the room.

They leaned in even more, their faces displaying their curiosity.

"I got waitlisted." I lied.

They went back in their chairs and stared at me with blank expressions.

What could you say about getting waitlisted? You can't say congrats and you can't quite say sorry. All a person could do was say "lets see how it plays out," or "at least you weren't rejected!"

"Which college?" Robin asked.

"I... uhm... well-"

I certainly couldn't say the biggest athletic school in the country! Then they'd certainly celebrate the littlest chance of me getting accepted. I would have to lie again-- I didn't want to do that; not to them.

I was about to speak when Sebastain cut in.

"Its clear he doesn't want to talk about it. Maybe we should just let it go for now." He said.

They all looked to him and then to me, slowly nodding in agreement.

I really wanted to kiss him in that moment.

"Well, it doesn't matter! Let's eat!" Maru said, picking up her utensils.

Everyone followed in suit and began to eat.

The food was amazing-- as it always was. Especially because it was my favorite, salmon.

Robin said they drove all the way out to Oregon to get it. What I would do to live in Oregon... it's so beautiful over there and they have fish-- lots of it. But I suppose Stardew Valley also has a lot of fish aswell. Willy is the main person-- aside from the farmer-- who sells fish. I am thankful to the both of them for providing us with fish-- and the occasional crustaceans. You should see how many crab traps the farmer puts in the water!

After dinner Sebastain led me outside and opened the garage. To my surprise he brought out a motorcycle! He didn't tell me he had one beforehand.

He put a black helmet on and grabbed another, handing it to me.

"Huh?" I said quizzically.

"Dont you want to ride a motorcycle at least once? I have somewhere I want to show you." He said.

My eyes must've lit up at that moment because he chuckled. I always thought motorcycles were cool.

I put on the helmet eagerly. Sebastain put on gloves and climbed on the motorcycle-- the engine started.

"Well? Aren't you going to get on?" He asked.

I nodded-- nearly toppling over from how I forgot the helmet was on my head-- and got on.

"You better hold on, or else you might fall off." He told me.

From fear of falling off I hugged him from behind.

Then the motorcycle actually began to move. I don't want to say that I was scared but I was. I held onto him tighter. But more than being scared I was excited; where did he want to take me?

The cold air hit me in an instant. It felt nice since it was summer and it was always a burning inferno outside no matter the time of day. From how fast we were going it felt like it was cold-- well-- as cold as it could be.

I glanced at Sebastain and knew he was smiling under his helmet; I was too. I knew this night would be a memory I held onto forever-- it felt like that kind of night.

He stopped his motorcycle near the edge of a cliff and got off. We both took off our helmets and looked towards the view.

"Zuzu city." He said.

"Yeah..." I climbed off the motorcycle.

Looking at the lights in the distance gave me a strange familiar feeling.

I had been to Zuzu city before, but I never it saw at night.

Zuzu city was a land of opportunity and city folk, not really a place I belonged in-- it wasnt a place where anyone in Stardew Valley belonged in. Everyone was content staying here, and I liked that. But Zuzu city was certainly tempting-- with job opportunities and fast food and all that other stuff. Here you have to get things locally or depend on deliveries-- I never minded.

"How is it? The view-- I mean." Sebastain said, lighting a cigarette.

"It feels familiar, if that makes sense." I said.

Sebastain took a puff of his cigarette, "I understand that, this place is familiar to me aswell. But I guess thats because I come here a lot."

I stood near the edge of the cliff, amazed from how city life seemingly never ends, even at night.

"I come here often to think, to get away from the valley. But I haven't come here in a long time-- I don't want to get away from the valley anymore." Sebastain said, a glimmer in his eyes. "I used to want to go to Zuzu city, to escape from the valley. But now I have you-- I'll go anywhere you'll go."

My stomach began to have butterflies.

"...what about college? What if I have to go away? What if you have to go away?" I asked.

"We'll figure that out. If it comes down to it if there's a nice college near yours I might go there, assuming I would get in. But even if we're apart it's only for 4 or so years... we'll make it through." He said.

"I don't want to be apart." I admitted.

"I don't either, I wish I could stay with you everywhere you go." Sebastain put out his cigarette.

I looked at him with melancholy-- even though I was mostly happy. I was giddy from how he said such sweet things but I was sad from how we might have to part ways. I didn't want that to happen at all.
